It’s an online game, I don’t see how that interferes with rebirth. You just play it for 30 to 40 minutes at a time whenever you feel like it.

Yea I was thinking of that but I'm trying to keep my playtime down for right now cause I know once Rebirth hits I'm checking out. Kids, wife, everyone is going to have to entertain themselves while I'm playing through Rebirth. It's a live service game anyways though and these games tend to only get better (if they are good) as they go on.

Is there any PVP? I know the first one does but I don't know about the sequel.

Aside from PS5 discussion, would advise Sherbros to stay away from Samsung sets. Got the S90C a couple of months ago and there are apparently widespread panel issues that are hitting mine. The screen flickers and I get horizontal bands that flash across the screen.

Thankfully I was able to get a full exchange and I’m going back to my bread and butter with an LG C3.

I can't do that anymore so I'll just have to be content with about an hour of gameplay a day which means Rebirth will take me two months to get through. That's the complete opposite of how I played the first one which I beat in 4 days. I was too obsessed with needing to be a part of the game discussions online but this time I'll just ignore it and enjoy a slow pace. Who knows though, knowing me I'll get so into the story that I'll wake up at like 4 am to get an extra hour in each day like I did with FFXVI

Yeah I’ve had a lot of success with Samsung in the past but read the quality is slipping.

Don’t worry at all about burn in. The technology has come a long way and OLED’s are going to give you the best overall gaming experience. I won’t go with anything else currently.

Burn in prevention is so much better than whdn the technology first hit.

I've put loads of hours into FF14 whilst using my LG CX and had ot even a slight hint of burn in

Man my house or near by got hit by thunder and it fucking killed my PS5. That shit wont turn on at all anymore. It killed a bunch of other devices in my house but the PS5 was the most important. It also killed my sons switch. I've never seen anything like this.

All my APs wouldn't turn on, my thermostat controller is done, My garage door opener is fried, My media server is also done. I have a backup power supply for my media server but who knows if it took my HDs with it. 64TB worth of movies and TV shows could all be gone. My automated vacuum charger is fried, thankfully it was cleaning my kitchen at 3am when the strike hit so it wasn't on the charger and avoided being hit.

Anyways I looked up online and apparently people in my position have had success purchasing a power supply online and replacing it. Going to try that but if that doesn't work I'm going to have to buy another fucking PS5.

Sony's latest video game console, the PlayStation 5,which is part of the ninth generation of video game consoles, has outsold the lifetime sales of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), according to VGChartz estimates.

The PS5 had sold an estimated 52.96 million units worldwide through December 2023, while the SNES sold 49.10 million units lifetime.

Up next for the PS5 is the Xbox One with 57.96 million units sold, followed by the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) with 61.91 million units sold and the Nintendo 3DS with 75.94 million units sold.

Didn’t the newest Quest just release? I imagine it has to do with that. Ps5 been on the market a few years already. Ps5 will continue to outsell it in most months though as VR is still w niche market. Just hope we get Astrobot port and a new one

Going to try changing out the power supply first. Read lots of people had to do the same thing when this happened to them. So will see how that goes. I’ll get it from Amazon. If it doesn’t work I’ll return it.

Sorry to hear about all this, brother. Was your house directly hit by a bolt then and not proximally? Is there a burn contact point on your structure even?

Not sure where it hit exactly I tried to see if I could find it but wasn't able to. I think my neighbor also had issues because I noticed his wife is parking in the drive way now and she's never done that since they moved in.

Honestly the money is less of a concern to me. It's the work that is annoying. Spent most of my night last night getting my wifi back up and troubleshooting which parts on my media server were still working and what wasn't working. This weekend I pickup the new garage door opener and I have no clue how to set one of those up so I know it's going to take forever. A new motherboard for my server comes in tomorrow so I'll be installing that. Just a bunch of work I don't want to do when I should just be relaxing.
