There are so many creative cases Sony could pump out it's weird to me that they don't do it. I thought that was the whole point of the removable case. Sure different colors is nice but they can do so much more. The Spiderman was nice but I would have expected one for every single IP by now. At the very least get a partnership with another company who does it and then Sony can get a small cut of the profits.

After what happened with Dbrand I can't see that happening

NCSOFT, a global premier developer and publisher, today announced that it has signed a strategic global business partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE).

The two companies' CEOs – Taekjin Kim of NCSOFT and Jim Ryan of SIE – have met and jointly signed the partnership.

Under this partnership, NCSOFT and SIE will collaborate in various global business fields, including mobile.

The two companies are evaluating a range of potential opportunities with an aim to foster strategic synergy, leveraging NCSOFT's technological prowess and SIE's global leadership in the entertainment field.

"This partnership with SIE is the beginning of our efforts to build various synergies together, utilizing both companies' core competencies, technological capabilities, and expertise," said Taekjin Kim, President and CEO at NCSOFT. He added, "We will deliver a new and enjoyable experience to our audience across and beyond genres and regions."

Sounds rad. Nice. I'd really pay for Deacon St John escaping a horde that's breaking through the PS5 console panel, or then maybe Jin sitting pensively with autumnal leaves surrounding him that are falling from the console panel. And don't get me started on ideas bringing Yharnam and the Hunt to life.

Excellent ideas! Like @method115 said, there is a lot of money to be made with these plates. It's mind boggling to me that Sony hasn't capitalized on this. When I first saw them, I thought this was the direction we're going towards.

It’s probably one of those things that people think are cool but then don’t actually buy them. They’re kind of pricy and don’t add anything to the gaming experience. I think controllers are the way to go stil if they want to be wacky. Who know me though, just hard to imagine Sony wouldn’t be putting out more if they really earned that much.

I'm sure they can do some sort of product testing to figure out what type of investment to make. They don't even have to be 3D, they can just be wraps which would be cheaper.

I agree it's strange there aren't artsier alts outside solid colors like Crimson, Nova, Starlight, or Galactic. With all of Sony's signature properties, the options are there for the, well, exploitation, lol.

Looks great, but probably won’t get to it until much later with Rebirth out 3 weeks before. Just hoping Stellar Blade or Rise of the Ronin don’t release in April or May

For real? I think it’s an awesome month. Last month was the one that really sucked. Lego supposed to be a fun racer, powerwash I’ve heard positive things about and sable is a great indie game. Haven’t played any of them so looking forward to trying them.

Last month sucked and this one does as well for me.

On that note whenever they gave us BF2042 I thought it was a waste but I recently played it again with my cousin and it was pretty damn fun. I was impressed. Had to play the 32 vs 32 mode though 64 v 64 mode seems to be filled with bots.

Not a big fan of FPS but Dice did make the Star Wars battlefront game. It sucked early on but with later improvements became a really good game. Wish they could get it right from the beginning for a change. I want Evil West to hit PS Plus but not sure it well. Have you played that one?

No haven't played it but it's a game I want to try but don't want to spend money on it. I've heard good things and the bad things I heard didn't really seem like a big deal to me.

EW is awesome. Can vouch for and could see Plus-tiered, potentially – but worth a buy, too.

I think for me what’s sour grapes is many have days off this month for the holidays – that is, ample playtime. I saw that as a foresightful window for Sony to earn goodwill after raising prices by offering up a banger or maybe two low-key gems to hedge a third crustnugget. Many are disillusioned with Plus right now and I get it.

FWIW, I’ve also heard PowerWash is quirky-fun but they’re not needle-movers, IMO, which is what I’d thought would be in store. Maybe they’ll drop something hot for Extra rather?
