That DLC is worth every penny and has a couple Golds to earn too – you’ll love it. I recently bought Cyberpunk after the big Y3 revamp but after hearing so much graphical praise, it doesn’t hold a candle to Forbidden West.

You’d have to be playing Cyberpunk on PC to get the most out of it with its new path tracing “overdrive” mode which is way beyond the capabilities of what a PS5 could handle. Even before they implemented path tracing the PS5 version couldn’t handle Cyberpunk’s “regular” ray tracing features beyond ray traced shadows. It never supported its ray traced reflections or global illumination. When comparing apples to apples on PS5 graphics then yeah, Forbidden West Burning Shores is King.

Thanks for the rundown. False equivalency re: PC versus console – always has been; I like your apples-oranges frame of reference there because chipmakers can sensibly be compared to chipmakers, consoles to consoles. So just RT then? I’m meaning facial animations, hair and flora physics, the works. Does that all transform on PC through RT + illumination? Keanu looks like sh*t, for example. Naughty Dog had superior character modelling a decade ago. I was expecting more from the game but it doesn’t hold up to Sony first-party titles; was thinking that’s what I’d be getting in quality after celebrated rework.

Downloaded the Core app a couple hours ago and will check out tomorrow. Not sure what they’ve on offer for Nordics right now but I liked the UI after cursory glance.

Probably not much better, from what I've seen most countries lineups are poor

I've also recently read a DLC or .5 instalment is in the works at SM for GoW Ragnarök. Both of these news bites are uninspiring to me so I hope neither or only one realises. TLoU 2 looks fine and better than 99% of current games. Pointless. And SM should make a full-blown new game (new backdrop and pantheon; outside Nordics) or look to an exciting new property with all the in-house talent they have. My two pence.

It’s completely unnecessary imo, always liked TLOU multiplayer though, maybe if they put in some type of factions since the standalone is supposedly binned.

In this situation it at least makes sense because I'm sure it's being done up for the PC port as well and the season 2 release.

There's no chance this isn't sold for full price. I think it will be a while before it's released though. I think we have to wait until the end of season 2 of TLOU or the start at the very least.

Probably 4K/30 at most as it got a PS5 only boost to 1440p/60 from 1440/30 on the PS4 Pro Version (1080/30 on standard PS4)

NGL I forgot Gotham even existed there for a second. It's crazy to me you have these massive franchises that just cant seem to consistently make good games. They're money printers if you do and money burners if you don't. Terrible leadership direction.

Yeah there was actually a lot of work done on TLOU Part 1. They likely wouldn’t be anything close to that so it should definitely fall in the next gen update category.

You're right it will probably just be a remaster. So I could see it being just $10. I don't know why but I was thinking remake only but that makes less sense considering TLOU 2 still looks really good.
