You can Cheese them with a shield and whip. Jump on the rock and you can attack without getting hit. The shield is to block the spinning move. I run through there for somber on my low level guys.

Yeah, from memory you can find some good smithing stones in that area. Especially for early game.

I think the Somber 7 requires the most effort to get. Caleid has an 8 and 9 you can get really easily.

Yeah, I remember spending an hour trying to get that Smithing stone on the ledge of that balcony, near the virgin abductor or whatever those things are called. Such a pain in the arse and I gave up.

Cleared Liurnia, didnt really like the zone, I think it would have been better split to maybe 3 parts?
At Caledonia now, almost done, I like how it is much more compact than Lirnua. Trying to kill the Black Blade Kindred, quite liking this fight apart from when it decides to go around the building and camera goes berserk. Without that and if it was slightly smaller it'd be perfect. Quite close to getting it down it just those damn delayed attacks that keep getting me, had same problem with the Crucible Knight inside the evergoal.

Finally got that damn Black Blade Kindred down, took good few hours of tries, it would be a real nice boss if it was on a flatter surface and did not leap to those god damn stairs or other obstacles, probably the best boss so far with the Crucible Knight.
After that killed some two dragons, smelly tree and general Radohn in rapid succession, Radohn on the first try, did not even really know what it was supposed to do.

Radahn was a wall at launch but was nerfed in a patch.

Wait? What the fuck?! How long ago was the patch
Months ago at this point. Not too long after launch because everyone bitched he was too hard. They left Melania tho because she didn't gate half of the games content

At launch Radahn had many one shot attacks that would just wreck you even with high vigor at this point of the game. I think I fought him over 20 times. On NG+ I beat him first try no problem recently.

Finally had the chance to return to this game and god damn! All of the balance patches really did it favors. Can't even list all of the things that are better because there's so many. It's really hard for me to pick a favorite now in terms of the Soulslike games, all of them have their unique traits that make fall in love with them. Guess I'll be binging this until the new Hollow Knight or Blasphemous game drops :D

This is the giant on the little horsey right? When you can summon everyone? That was probably the funnest boss fight ive ever had.

Yea that's the one. I thought there was some sort of cool idea there but it just didn't work for me.

Cleared some underground areas, had to google at deeprock depths because I had no clue what to do. Killed Lichdragon that without the previous googling there was no way I could have even figured out how to summon or whatever. Quite possible the worst damn fight in the game so far. It had everything: tedious, forced time waste to actually fight it, it is 10 sizes too big, camera lock that you cannot even use, area effect garbage galore and I swear a really borked hitbox. How the hell can my COLOSSAL SWORD miss so much?! Took less than 10 tries so there is that.

I rate Deeprock depths at -3/10, garbage zone.

Two gargoyles at the other underground place were pretty fun, would have been better without poison garbage.

I would've enjoyed the Gargoyles fight if not for the way their ranged attack worked. It has no audio cue for when one of them is out of sight and is almost invisible at certain angles. It doesn't suit them either as the crippled Gargoyles spew out fire rather than poison so the Gargoyle Duo having a noisier fire breath would've worked much better.

I've been allocating few points to faith from last levels so I could use some incantations to buff my big ass sword with fire and whatnot but the process of equipping the whatever required to cast the buff, selecting the right buff, casting it, unequipping the required casting item and then two handing my sword that sometimes results in totally unequipping the sword too is so incredibly clunky that I have given up on it.
