how much did you pay for it? All the sales i saw you coulda just gone to Best Buy and picked one up instead of waiting for the delivery...

Yea there was no sale. Best buy was the only place I could get it but they didn't have any near my area. Had to drive like an hour away. Since I'm not even playing a game that would even really show it off I just decided to get it delivered.

Starting with ER it will be nothing but bangers on that TV. ER,HFW, Returnal (on sale about to purchase it), and will see where I go from there. Probably Ghost at that point.

Ok, I have a moderate interest in the game. So don't bite my head off here but with close to 72 hours before its released is it anyone else's concern that there's been NO reviews posted yet?

Which begs the question if review copies have beeb sent out, and if they have when is the 'blockade' lifted?

Lol FromSoftware is THEE premier studio in gaming in terms of quality. No has pumped out GOTY tier games on a near 2 year cycle for a decade except From. Theyre one of two developers that I never need to see a single thing before purchasing.

This is the most anticipated game on the forum since Cybperpunk...says a lot when most games here dont crack 3 pages.

I never preorder anything anymore, but I made the exception for Cyberpunk due to my love of Witcher3, and all the improvements CDPR made since the first Witcher game. I figured there would be bugs, but I didn't expect that level of deception from them.

I will never preorder anything else, save for Miyazaki-lead From games. PC might be a bit sketchy with those vulnerabilities Namco has been dealing with in Souls games, and there will surely be patches to fix certain things, but I don't expect anything Cyberpunk-like. So long as I can explore the world, I'm okay with some bugs (so long as they are worked on), because From are the best devs out there. From level/enemy/art design, to world building and environmental storytelling, no one does it remotely close IMO.

I hope I don't eat my words lol. You have no history with these games, so wait for reviews just in case, though I can't imagine this is something you'd preorder anyway.

Again, it's supposed to be more new player friendly, and with all the different build types you can explore, coupled with the GRR collaboration, I'm sure anyone who likes 3rd person action RPG's, and a dark fantasy setting that aren't button mashers, will find something to like here

Miyazaki can shit on me for 2 releases.....he's earned that level of trust.

CDPR has 1 great game under their belt.....and they fooled us all. Its okay.

I read your first paragraph and thought 'Remember Cyberpunk?'

And then you mentioned it in the 2nd paragraph.

My point is those that don't have it preordered should wait for reliable reviews to come out... not even from IGN or Gamespot, but it is concerning that even they haven't posted their reviews yet.

That said, that's the ONLY yellow flag (not a red flag) I've seen so far for this and it certainly looks like its going to fulfill all reasonable expectations.

But, I have a very long memory and Cyberpunk's hype and launch are still very vivid to me. Never trust any developer 100%.

Its a smarter move to wait a few days after launch than to hand over your money for a product you're not 100% sure about.

Look at CDPR's output and compare that to From. In the time between TW3 and Cybperpunk, From released DS3, DS3 DLCs, Sekiro and Deracine, all to rave reviews.

Comparin CDPR to From like comparing a Fiat to a Ferrari. Not on the same level.

Im exaggerating and being a fanboy but From is the darling of the industry. I never read or watch reviews anyways, and recently reviews are only released a 2-3 days out. Apparently reviewers are struggling to even complete by the deadline.....

CDPR had the BEST game of that entire decade, made the best expansions ever, made free DLC, called out other developers/publishers for their greed, and posted their appreciation of the trust gamers had in them.

Everyone took them for their word that the 2018 demo was what the game was at that point in development.

It got to the point that when some game journalists who had played the game in the months leading up to its release and stated it had major issues, the journalist was attacked for being a SJW shill trying to sabotage the hype for what was expected to be the 'greatest game ever.'

So whenever CP2077 launched and it was broken and clearly unfinished it wasn't just a 'breach of trust,' it was an outright betrayal.

So, if CDPR could betray its fanbase, no developer should be granted absolute trust.

They made Bloodborne and the Old Hunters??

I kid, but I understand what you mean.

You know ER had a demo that has been played by the public right?

Its not the same situation. ER is gonna be the GOTY in the most stacked year in gaming....I wouldnt be surprised if it does turn out to be the GOAT. The hype is justified.

I'm not saying its the same situation. Different developers/publishers.

I'm even hesitant to come in this thread to say 'Wait a few days for reliable reviews to come in to be 100% sure.' I'd say its a 95% chance its going to be legit as the hype says it will be.

But even that 5% is still worth recommending the 'wait a few days.'

@jojoRed

I'll even post the bullshit rumors, and them being confirmed as bullshit.

And this is a reasonable explanation as to why no reviews have been posted yet. They've been working on the Day 1 patch until the last few days.

That said, that was also an excuse as to why CP2077's performance wasn't up to par in the weeks prior to its launch, for the reviews on PC. "Just wait for the Day 1 patch and everything will be fixed."

Im actually looking to buy it on two platforms and trying to find ways of playing it early.

You really havent played a From game on release.....and every game that releases now needs a day one patch.

Again From is the reigning best dev in the world. The Japanese games are solid on release.

I never buy games on Day 1, for good reasons that have been proven time and time again.

Many games that had been sent out for reviews that were released up to a week before the games are still have Day 1 patches... for minor fixes.

So yeah, Day 1 patches are common, but the question is of what size they are.

Sherbros of the Arcade section gonna crash the site when ER drops lmao. Refresh this thread every 20 seconds to see everyone freaking out over the awesomeness.

As long as the current From exists as is, theyll have my money day 1.

I can drop dead tomorrow, a few bucks for an experience I am looking forward to is no issue. Waitin years for a game that you wanna play now to be half price is so dumb to me.

Unfortunately 1-3 days beforehand is the new norm now for review embargoes especially with day one patches now a regular thing.
