Not trying to hate, but how does this differ from being Dark Souls 4? What I mean is that it feels, for all intents and purposes, like a Dark Souls sequel. I realize there are mechanical differences. But it seemed sorta like a new Dark Souls to me.

Lore, mechanics, open world

Looks essentially like a Dark Souls re-skin at this point since gameplay differences weren't highlighted, but I greatly appreciate the fact that they showed or replicated actual gameplay using in-game graphics. I hate cgi/non-gameplay trailers.
I wonder if they will go more traditional in terms of storytelling with cut scenes and such given the GRRM collaboration or will they keep the storytelling based on setting and purely optional readable lore?

Assuming Hollow Knight Silksong comes out in 2022, and now we know God of War Ragnarok and Elden Ring are coming out then as well, i'm going to be breaking a record for the amount of deaths in games next year.

I just hope their releases are months apart.

Yeah, MP confirmed but no mention of PVP. Wonder if it might be difficult given how big the world potentially is. Running around a castle looking for a dude can be tedious enough as is.

Maybe only pvp in certain areas which are easier to cut off. For example how parts of Anor Lando where inaccessible if you were invaded.

I agree but that's not a bad thing to me.

I have no interest in the multiplayer for this game. I always enjoy these games with some headphones on and just exploring the world by myself.

GOW series isn't know for hard gameplay that will make you die over and over again. Those valkyries in the last game were a pain in the ass but once you get it it wasn't bad at all... Hollow Knight however... brrrr...

But i am exciting for 2022 too.

Right. And that's cool, I'm not trying to hate on the game. I guess I just thought a new series and making a big deal out of GRRMs creative influence meant they might be doing something different.

Well i've never played the older GOW games so i have no idea about them but considering the Valkyrie Queen killed me more times than every boss in Bloodborne combined... but i get what you mean, GOW wasn't hard overall even on Give Me God of War, it was just the Valkyries, more so Sigrun.

I agree and they are doing some things different. Overall though it just looks like an open world DS.

Yeah the older GOW games were relatively easy... I am pretty sure i beat most bosses without dying. It was more arcadey fun with the older GOWs IMO.

I never finished Bloodborne but i didn't find the bosses (i was probably 3/4 of the way finished) particularly hard but then again i am the type that finds a good area to level up and will grind the hell out of it until i think i am strong enough to move on..

I do get you on that VQueen though. She was indeed super asshole annoying to beat.
