All you got to do is go to Caelid where the Beast Sanctum is and walk around backstabbing Vulgar Militiamen. You'll be lvl50 before you know it. They're so slow, blind, and easy to kill. They're like 3ft tall and stupid.

Almost level 200. This only took me maybe 2 hours to gain 30 some levels. It's slowing down though

Taking a break to go hunt Death Birds, Night Riders, and Bell Bearing Hunters. The want the Bell Bearing Hunter sword. It might be the best sword in the game if your hero can do all the crazy shit he does with it.

Palace Approach Ledge Road in Mohgwn's zone

Best rune farm I've found so far. Only like 3 of those guys fight back and they're easy to beat. The rest just sit there and let you kill them. The ones who fight back drop almost 4k runes and the ones who sit there drop almost 3k runes. And the save point is right behind me like 10 feet.

New players can get here quick. Like 20 minutes doing White Mask's quest. Once you access Mohgwn's zone, sprint here on your horse, save, then start farming runes

What does the number in smithing stones [2] mean? or any number after it

I have a +2 weapon I need to ugprade and I got smithing stones but it wont let me

Also, what do you do when you go in a cave and by the time you get to the boss entrance you got 0 flasks left and you're down to 50% HP

Plus every few runs there's one in that group with Yellow eyes that means 5 x the usual runes for that enemy plus it's where the infamous bird farm is too

I beat Melania. Took 2 tries. I reset my hero back to Great Stars build and built him to heal on every hit using Godskin Talisman and my Great Stars heal with every hit. I also put some kind of immunity Talisman on to block scarlet rot.

Me and Mimic Tear with those Great Stars beat the abosolute shit of her. I kept stunning her and doing critical hits. Her second form didn't stand a chance. We sanwiched her with big bleeding hits. 2 hit bleeds.

I got a new weapon I want to build called Loretta's War Sickle. The moves on it are pretty good and it looks like it scales with strength. Might be the fastest strength weapon in the game at least that I've seen

My guy is OP as fuk.. Like level 225.

If you shoot the giant chicken below with an arrow it runs off the ledge and gives you like 13k runes everytime iirc.

I dont know if you know about the wiki for the game but it helps a lot, especially the map.

i find that the mapgenie one is way more intuitive and if you sign up for the free account you should be able to use it to mark off shit you found and keep track of stuff and shit. i use them for several games. its pretty helpful to find all kinds of shit.

i was just mentioning that the other day. if you ever need to farm alot of runes fast, albinauric genocide is the way.

i remember melenia being a bit of a pushover until the 3rd and 4th journeys. then bullshit ensued.

had to cheese her with a mimic tear and even that wasn't a good time.

haven't quite got to her on my 3rd journey with this char quite yet, but the bloodfiends arm build i'm using is hilariously filthy and i don't think i'll have as much of an issue dealing with her bullshit, but if i do i'll just call up my mimic and have it turned into a stun and blood loss fest.

it's messmer and the dlc radahn as well as that triple stage erdtree dlc boss that always seem to give me a bit of trouble in the first and second go-arounds. and one of those bell bearing hunters at the isolated merchants shack in caelid. i dont know why but that one always throws some cheap shit at me more than all the rest of them. i went full rollie pollie on his ass and he still gets me with cheap shit, but after a while i stopped dealing with its bullshit and i would just summon my horse and double jump onto the roof of the adjacent shack and i would just fire poison arrows at it and wait for it to die. no regrets. that motherfucker has gave me more grief than pretty much everything else in the game. i swear they put him in the game just to torture me. that shit had me raging pretty hard.

that should kind of lay it out for you i guess.

depending on the weapon and the level of it, the blacksmith is gonna call for a certain amount of one of the two types of smithing stones and a specific tier level of stones, and a little bit of runes on the side.

upgrading your spirit ashes summons are the same concept, except instead you use ghost grovewarts and grave grovewarts to upgrade them.

I have a +2 weapon I need to ugprade and I got smithing stones but it wont let me

you could be short on runes to pay for the upgrade, or it might be calling for some somber smithing stones but you're looking at the normal smithing stones in your inventory and you don't have sombers. or vice versa. or you don't have the correct level or amount of smithing stones that it's calling for. something is not adding up.

Also, what do you do when you go in a cave

gc5h4vihlry71d.jpg

and by the time you get to the boss entrance you got 0 flasks left and you're down to 50% HP

praise the sun and fill the room with uppercuts!

just try to fight the thing and then if you die just run past all the trash enemies after you respawn and go straight to the boss and pick up your runes and have another go at him. in some areas there might be a stake of murika right in front of the boss door so if you die it'll just ask you if you want to respawn right there instead of your last visitied site of grace.

I'm not going to say Melania is easy because she's whipped my ass a good 15 times every other time I fought her. It's that weapon I'm using. The moves set, speed, and it's a heavy weapon. It's faster than the Katana with staggers, stuns, heals, and 2 hit bleeds. It's by far the strongest weapon I've used so far. Like the starting axe in bloodborn that has the spinning slash. That 1 move smokes the whole game.

With the Great Stars all I do is lead everyone into a 4 hit combo. If the first R1 lands, I'm landing 3 more and a stun and a bleed or two. Plus the heals I get just from hitting her. If I summon Mimic, it's like tennis.

I can always find some cheap BS to pull off in FromSoft games.

It was harder to get to Melania. Getting to her arena is a nightmare. The battle mages whipped my ass worse than she did. They can one shot me with their magic hammers. And you have to got to fight 2 on skinny bridges or in the small gazebo. My guy must be super weak to magic because Melania couldn't come close to one shotting me.

I also know how to roll thru Melania's super move and I only get clipped here and there. I just keep rolling forward towards her until she stops. Same with Orphan of Kos. Natural instinct is to roll away when the key is to roll forward.

I'm going to go ahead and beat the game today I think. I made it too easy. All I got left is Godfrey, Placidusax, Maliketh, and Elden Beast I think.

I got a bunch of weapons and armor from Shadow of Erdtree but I don't want to beat that zone on easy mode.

I smoked Ancient Dragon Man and Solitude Knight and the Dragon. I'm stopping there and going with New Game+ for Shadow of Erdtree

I like how you learn more lore on the dragons and battle between Bayle and Placidusax.

Placidusax is my favorite boss. He overtook Mohgwn for me. If he had all his heads and wasn't wounded so badly, he'd be the final boss.

the worst part about that whole haligtree area is the putrid avatar that is standing in front of the inner wall site of grace alongside of a whole mob of other jackasses. what i usually do is just try to make a run through them all just to get to the site of grace and then try to take out the avatar from behind. and do it as quick as i can before the other enemies start getting hits in and interrupting me. but still i'll just give up on it if it takes me more than 10 tries.

the ulcerated tree spirit at the the end of the millicent questline used to be some bullshit too but then i found out the area i should be standing on to fight the thing. and it's been alot easier with the bloodfiends arm

melenia is bullshit too, but if i can get a good rhymth going down with my mimic we can just alternate turns stunning her and then slamming away and get to the 2nd phase before she can get a lick in on either of us. but the 2nd phase is a bit more trickier if i cant roll through her flower bullshit and get a heal in.

if my mimic is competent and i can evade that bullshit 2nd phase attack i can make short work of her. but if my mimic just stands there with its thumb up its ass instead of trying to dodge or anything and lets her just stand there hitting it and healing it makes the fight take way longer than it should, or it goes south quickly. she fights cheap though so i have no shame in calling in backup.

Placidusax is my favorite boss. He overtook Mohgwn for me.

forgot about that one. that's another cheap boss that gets my nerves going but it feels rather satisfying when i beat him.

it took me until my 2nd or 3rd playthrough before i even found out that boss existed and how to get to him. it was never an easy go for me. it always throws some bullshit at me.

The albinauric farm in Mohgs palace is by far the fattest gold farm (outside of gitches if they still exist)

It’s best in NG+ though, as using the special from Sacred Relic Sword takes out whole line in two button presses.
