Died at 48
RIP
I just got diagnosed last month after noticing blood in my stool in November, and eventually getting a colonoscopy. Fortunately, my case is still early stage and very treatable.
They just lowered the colonoscopy screening age to 45 (It was 50 until recently). I think if you can - you should start getting it earlier - around age 40 or maybe your late 30s.
The colon cancer rate is increasing with every generation. Children today have 500% rate increase:
"Yes, a 2024 analysis of CDC data (1999–2020) revealed that colorectal cancer incidence increased by 500% in children aged 10–14, and by 333% in teens aged 15–19. While these percentages sound alarming, the absolute number of cases remains very low, rising from 0.1 to 0.6 per 100,000 in children.
Key Findings on Rising Rates
- Children (10-14): 500% increase.
- Adolescents (15-19): 333% increase.
- Young Adults (20-24): 185% increase."
I was 16 when I started watching it. It had already been on for a couple years though. I was hanging out with drug dealers and people who woke up and our first thought was who had weed and where are we smoking. I would have been the joke of the group if they found out I was watching Dawsons Creek. Why would your friends kick your ass? I was in middle school when the show started and anyone who was anyoneworked the world famous Sportatorium in Dallas, Texaswas watching Dawson's Creek.
What a great movie. Mox was such a good character.Played in one of the greatest high school & sports movies of all time
RIP Mox

My mother in law was having issues eating for a week. She was only eating jello and she told this to me and my wife literally on the day she came over to watch our kids as we left to Europe for vacation. When we got on the plane I asked my wife if her mom told her this and she was like "Yea but I don't want to talk about it".I knew someone im his 30s who noticed a little blood on the toilet paper.
