So I've made a lot more progress, and several-- I guess questlines-- now have me pointed towards the forbidden lands, or the land of the giants.
First of all I defeated Radahn. I actually thought it was hilarious. The whole thing was so poignant yet somehow majestic, and when he took off on that little horse he looked like a character from Mario Kart. He shot my head off from a mile away at the beginning but I kept running, and found out you can summon like 15 people to gang up on him. I just kept summoning along the way and then took it to him. I don't know if I was doing it right, but the battle seemed almost like a reward, like a bit of reprieve.
Activating his Great Rune was another matter entirely. After that the Wolf dude, who is really, really cool, told me to meet him at a crater. I followed it down to find the Eternal City, which I had been to before but this was a different section. I found a knife that I gave to Ranni (Hnnnngggggg) and she told me to meet her at the Giant's land.
In tandem with this is another thing that happened-- I was trying to get to the top of that area in the Lakes, because there's stuff there on the map but no Grace points. I was able to ascend but not to the top, and I saw a bunch of messages all around this one area. Kind of obvious. It was an NPC that gave me half of yet another medallion-- which would make for a third entire medallion. Gideon told me where to find the girl-- and she has a WOLF! Lobo. I love Lobo. But she told me to go to the Sun Temple, which also is in the forbidden lands.
I know that the Fire Giant is up there, and I know he's next. That was where I quit last time. However last time I was level 85 and now I'm 105. I uncovered a lot more this time around, so I'm gonna give it a shot.
Also I got the best summon ever--- a copy of myself. I'm wondering I can summon it with a certain build and then switch to another, or lock it into a build prior. Probably not
