Multiplatform Official Dragon's Dogma 2 Discussion

Does the Dragonsplague mechanic introduced work like Dragonrot from Sekiro or something else entirely?

DD shouldn't even be a "franchise", given how the original was all but forgotten the second it was released. The save system I think I can live with. It's the lack of character slots that baffles me. I can't think of a single reason to keep players from starting basically as many characters as they want. I'm happy with my current character but if I start desiring to start at the beginning as another class I will have to create a new xbox profile just for that one reason. Why make me jump through hoops for that? Makes no sense.

So far the save system has forced me to adventure and just accept the results insead of reloading all of the time. I might dislike it at some point but right now I like that it's making me play differently than I normally would like in Witcher 3.

Seems to be based on proximity. So if there's a ladder on a building that is hidden by another building but you are close enough the pawns will talk about it even though it's out of view.

I just learned that the exclamation point on the map is where the ladder is.

  • Adding the option to start a new game when save data already exists
  • Changing the number of Art of Metamorphosis items available at Pawn Guilds in the game to 99
  • Making the quest that allows players to acquire their own dwelling (where they can save and rest) available earlier in the game
  • Miscellaneous text display fixes
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes
Updates for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S

  • Adding the option to switch motion blur on/off in options
  • Adding the option to switch ray tracing on/off in options
  • Adding the option to switch frame-rate to either variable or max 30fps in options
  • (These options will not affect the frame-rate significantly. Frame rate improvements are planned for future updates.)
Updates for Steam

  • Improving quality when DLSS Super Resolution is enabled
  • Fixing an issue where models appeared low-quality under some specific settings.

So I forgot to mention, I was doing an escort mission and wound up in some ruins I had been in before. Fought off some bandits and a pawn mentions they see a ladder. I'm looking up and around, fucking thing leads underground.

So I go down and..

There is someone talking about her little girl. IT"S A FUCKING ZOMBIE. Kill it but I still hear talking..
I end up breaking a wall and there's MORE FUCKING ZOMBIES.

This is just one more little thing I enjoy about exploring this world. Can't wait until the weekend and I can play some more.

Aw man that quest was a pain in the hole, I had to carry him most of the way the little shithead kept disappearing.

And you know what is going to piss me off the most? The relatives are going to blame me. There were a bunch of people seeing his dumb ass getting drug off, but did they help? HELL no.

Buy a lottery ticket. I managed to save not only that original little shit, but another one in the slums.


Also was roaming around on the side of a cliff and had a fucking griffon come out of nowhere. Survived somehow.
