I liked the story a lot. I think it’s actually the best Diablo story by a lot. Lilith is a great villain and I hope she makes a return appearance. You’re right she was not in the game nearly enough.

I actually think they missed a huge opportunity. They could have had a 3 way choice, side with Inarius, side with Lilith, or the way the game actually ended.. Then it could have effected the post campaign world and put people into factions or something. I would have sided with Lilith. The whole end game quest I was like dooooo iiiiit

Glad I'm not the only one playing through and thinking... I know she's the main villain and all but she does make some really compelling arguments.

I'd probably have picked to side with her too.

As a master manipulator/persuader, she was suppose to present a very compelling case for the player to follow her. Nyrelle's mother even chose Lilith over her own daughter because that's how powerful she was. But I feel like ultimately if you follow Lilith, then technically the villain from the game's perspective won in this case and it's hard to write the story further down.

I don’t think so. She really did seem to want to protect sanctuary even if she also wanted to reshape it. It could be that Sanctuary is saved but becomes twisted by her.

I think that could be a really cool set up for some post campaign competition between factions

Level 43. Just starting act two and have finally ventured outside of fractured peaks. Just realized that the altars are hidden in the environments and not just obvious. Was wondering why I only have found like 8 of them.

:eek::mad:

Holy shit I nearly finished the campaign at that lvl

Should I always sell or salvage my gear? I got an orange item to drop but I got a better replacment, should I sell that?

Have it disassembled for upgrade materials. If it has an aspect on it, have the aspect removed by the aspect vendor

What Rozko said.

If the aspect is what you need for your build then hold onto it till you use it on another gear or get something better.

If not then salvage it at the blacksmith. You need to material from the legendaries to upgrade. Sell all your blues (don't even pick them up) and yellows that you are considered trash. You will need a LOT of gold too though.

Eventually once you reach the endgame and have a solid build after running multiple nightmares/helltide/other events you will be leaning towards selling way more than salvaging as you will have plenty of materials stashed and just need more gold as re-rolling affixes becoming REALLY expensive.

I played my first Helltide event yesterday on WT3, and.... I'm starting to get the "always online shared world" vision Blizzard has for this game. Kept randomly running into other players and we ended up just teaming up on the fly to wreck shit. I had a lot of fun doing it and I did score some sweet gear, including a sacred unique dagger for my Rogue.

On another note, it would be interesting if you are able to get a piece of jewelry that helps with quick level progression on new characters on your account. I remember being able to get an amulet that helped speed up XP gain in D3- I remember starting a Necromancer from scratch and getting multiple level increases after ambushes and boss fights. By the time I finished Act1 I was already level 40-something, lol. This would encourage players to try different builds. I kinda want to play with a sorcerer but I do not want to grind very much.

Rogue will always be my main tho

I think I read it may be possible to rush a character to lvl 50 in about half an hour. If I remember correctly a player creates a character with skip campaign option then you have someone clear WT3 dungeons for you.

I'd be down give it a try once I re-gear my Sorc or rouge. ;)

If you build up rep with the different areas and discover most of the alters of Lillith, you'll start any character massively in front of where you would be starting from scratch from all the bonuses.

I dropped back to WT1 yesterday for an hour or so and found about 50 more alters of lillith, just in the two starting areas. It's pretty easy and I even got multiple paragon points for doing it too.

Interesting.. please elaborate on "you have someone clear WT3 dungeons" do you mean another player?

Basically that. As long as you've finished the campaign at least once you can opt to skip the campaign with your other toons. I think all you have to do is have a levelled up buddy take you through your capstones so you can access tier 3 and 4 and then they can power level in any which way (nightmares, helltide, etc...).

Any tips for finding them? I must be remedial.

I'd prefer not to do that. Rather find them legit.

Oof... good luck to you then. They are intentionally hidden.

You're going to spend a VERY long time looking for the couple of hundred of them. Even with the map of their locations hilighted it can take time to find some of them.
