I enjoy the diablo franchise but I'm not a superfan.

QQ: Will I be able to have a satisfactory SP experience without doing all the MP/Group raid nonsense or am I forced to do it to advance the game? Will I be able to play the game start to finish (and replay the game as I want when I want ) without being beholden to a calendar or timed events?

Should be able to, unless Blizzard completely loses their minds. The seasons are optional, and I can only imagine the multiplayer stuff will be as well. You're gonna get the entire core game to mess around with at your leisure, like the previous games.

Blizzard is doing a couple stupid things with Diablo 4 at release.

Twitch drops in which to get whatever cosmetic(s), a person has to subscribe to two approved streamers. So that's probably at least $12, when normally twitch drops just require a person to watch someone play for a set amount of time.

And then there's going to be some sort of promo with KFC. KFC. Kentucky Fried Chicken. One will have to link their Battlenet account with their KFC account(?), then make somewhere around 5 separate purchases for up to 5 things? Yuck.

They did the give 2 subs for a toy thing for WoW back when the expansion hit, it was hugely successful, Never underestimate what people will pay for stupid shit (in this case, a mount),

The KFC thing makes sense in a way.

Think about it... with this promotion they may end up giving you a KFC themed weapon that has dangerously high sodium content.

This weapon gives all your enemies hypertension and gout, so not only does it cause damage over time, it cripples their movement.

One of the big devs is a necro player and didn't like what he experienced during the slam, so necro was sorta buffed back up some before the end of the slam.
Yeah when I made that comment I didn’t know they had nerfed them into the ground. I read about it somewhere that they had dropped skeletons to like 20% health. Very amateur and lazy nerfing.

It costs money to subscribe to channels on Twitch? I've never used it, but that sounds crazy.

So, for the people keeping up with the latest... have they done anything too retarded like pay for win shit or loot boxes etc yet?

Better check the release date for this one, it had slipped off my radar

So far it looks it's just Pay to Play Dress Up, with cosmetics from seasonal paid passes.

Yeah looked into it and it’s a promotion to help certain twitch streamers. If they target unknown or small streamers then it’s not a bad idea.

I won’t be doing it. They did say it’s not the only twitch promotion they’ll be doing. There’s other ones where you are simply jumping on their stream and just watching them for x hours and you’ll get something for it. As long as it’s all cosmetic I am okay with it. I did that for lost ark and they was painless. Open up their stream on a browser, drop that volume to zero and let it run in the background as you continue playing. Or do that while you take a break.

Anyone actually going to try the hardcore rush to lvl 100 ?
Think you can cheat death?" the developer teased. "Reach level 100 on hardcore mode and tweet #Diablo4Hardcore with proof to have your username immortalised on a statue of Lilith.

"Offer limited to the first 1000. Get started 1st June

What class y'all gonna start with? I'm probably gonna go Druid or Necro
