Official American Supplement Wars News.

America has become a prisoner of its own irrational thinking. Freedom of speech has resulted in uninformed individuals to be taken seriously by the nations leaders.
Our democracy is doomed.
We are prisoners to majority beliefs but its catchy to say we live in "the land of the free".

So the other day this Soldier is in my store. He says he's in a Command position and is attempting to recover from injuries sustained in Iraq. Now get this: I suggest creatine and he freaks out. Says they test people for drugs in the Military. After a few moments of me staring in bewilderment at his reaction I said "they do know Creatine is not a drug, and is perfectly legal, correct?" He said that in his position, if they notice TOO MUCH enhancement in athletic performance then they get very suspicious and start testing for things. And if they find CREATINE there will be serious repercussions. Anyone want to give a shot at what's wrong with this? Hands?

I mean let's not even mention steroids. Let's leave aside creatine for just a moment. TOO MUCH enhancement? These are Soldiers, what's left of the Warrior class. Are they saying they don't want troops to have an advantage in War that is of their own physical being? Of all the people who SHOULD be enhanced it's Soldiers. What is it not "fair" for an enemy we're at WAR with if our soldiers are strong and healthy? This guy had serious injuries, too. Now like I said, I'm not talking about steroids because that's a HUGE debate already going on with Cops...but this is CREATINE. There are 17 year-old High School fucking Wrestlers taking creatine. But for Soldiers who risk their lives to defend bureaucrats it's TOO MUCH enhancement?

I don't even know what more to say. The ridiculousness speaks for itself.

About 2 years ago They stopped selling creatine and a few other supps on all Marine Corps bases because the military believed they were dangerous. My whole unit still takes creatine, they just buy it off base. I've never heard of them testing for it.

The guy I mentioned was in the Navy, and I couldn't tell his rank even though he was in Uniform, didn't have any indicators and his name patch just said his last name (I come from a LONG line of Military family so I know what to look for and even give Military Discounts still at my store). I'm not sure what testing is different (if any) from Navy to the Corps. But I would assume the Corps would be more apt to physical lenience.

What kills me about this is the basic simplicity of creatine. You get it in BEEF for Christ's sake. And there has been no credible medical evidence that used RESPONSIBLY it has any harmful side-affects.

So basically the "leaders" are saying to you guys, who are idealistically the MOST reliable, sturdy, regimented, and reliable members of our soceity that they do not trust you to follow a simple set of directions listed on a bottle of a harmless supplement. And that enrages me. I trust you with my life and the protection of my homeland, they could at least trust you with your own body.

Bye the way, to the couple of Military guys (whether current or former), here's something you won't hear much in the War Room or in-general. But Thank You, seriously.

So, now that most of us understand that the Ephedra ban was based on two things, money and bullshit. Let's talk about the other end of the spectrum for a second.

Sibutramine is one of the only TWO drugs approved for weight loss in America. It suppresses appetite and increases metabolic rate, just like your friendly neighborhood fat-burners. The side-effect list is as follows:

Insomnia
Increased Blood Pressure
Constipation
Dry Mouth

So far 29 deaths have been linked to the drug in the US, and in the UK two deaths and more than 200 cases of reported serious side-effects have been reported after taking Reductil (the UK trade-name for Sibutramine).

Korean researchers have pooled the results of 21 studies on Sibutramine and found that overall the drug caused a weight loss of 9lbs in 6 months (AMAZING), along with an increase in blood-pressure.

A group called Public Citizen has petitioned the FDA to ban Meridia but the petition was denied. Rather they issued a statement saying they would "continue to monitor the safety of the drug."

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DEA Leads Largest Steroid Bust in History

82% of all DEA-seized steroid and analyzed steroids in U.S. are manufactured in Mexico; Large majority of those come from targets in Operation Gear Grinder. Steroids confiscated in the investigation were marketed to be used with animals via public websites.

DEC 15--Washington, DC - DEA Administrator Karen P. Tandy today announced the arrest of Albert Santiel-Cohen, owner of three of the world's largest anabolic steroid manufacturers as part of the largest steroid enforcement operation in U.S. History. Operation Gear Grinder is a 21-month Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force investigation that targeted eight major steroid manufacturing companies, their owners, and their trafficking associates. By reviewing the sources of all seized and analyzed steroids submitted to the DEA's forensic laboratories, DEA intelligence (HA HA HA from King Kabuki) analysts and diversion investigators found that 82% of the steroids seized and analyzed are of Mexican origin. A large majority of those 82% seized and analyzed steroids originate from the eight companies identified in Operation Gear Grinder. These businesses conduct their sales via the Internet and DEA estimates their combined total U.S steroid sales are $56 million per year.

THIS...THIS is what your government is doing with not only your hard-earned Tax dollars, but with the Laws created to catch and punish CHEATING ATHLETES. Under the flag of "save our children" rather than prosecute Rafael Palmiero's lying ass, they would rather embark on missions to rid the World (venturing all the way to Mexico, coupled with the BALCO debacle) of such dangerous "drug dealers." What the Hell is going on here?

What's even more frightening is the DEA also has begun locating the CUSTOMERS of this Company. Apparently they got a hold of a list of 2,000 US clients and according to DEA Agent Doug Coleman "we have agents all over the Country trying to track down who these people are." And furthermore "if they received packages through the mal we can absolutely charge them with a violation of Federal Law."

..........I'm speechless.

We KNOW some of the athletes implicated in the BALCO debacle were in violation of Federal Law, where are their charges? Again. Steroids wound up classed with other class-3 Narcotics not because of their dangers, but because of Olympic propaganda and America's attempt to whitewash hypocrisy. It was our way of saying "Noooooo, of course we don't cheat. And shame on anyone who does. And in-fact, well kick the ass of anyone who does. Just after our injection of Deca."

So, I know some of you guys in here have ordered steroids off the Internet, because I'm not naieve or gullible. You better start panicking now if your shit came from Mexico. Here's something helpful. America's leading steroid Lawyer's name is Rick Collins. Better contact him now and get the worrying overwith. Because according to the DEA "we're going after everyone, it doesn't matter where they're at." Reason being as stated by Karen Tandy "steroid traffickers market their product by luring young people with promises of enhanced performance and appearance."

Umm, Karen, didn't you say earlier that:

"Steroids confiscated in the investigation were marketed to be used with animals via public websites."

HA HA HA HA HA!! Dumbass.

You tell me how marketing FOR animal use is the same as marketing TO youth and I'll be more inclined to agree with your "cause". Unless of course the DEA is of the belief that children ARE animals, which wouldn't be surprising.

Now onto even funnier hypocrisy. The International Olympic Committe recently went through a series of futile pleas to convince Italian Authorties in Turin to relax their anti-doping Laws, which would put violators in jail for three months to three years. So follow me here, the very people the Laws were intended to punish now have Governmental committees asking for them to be exempt. In other Words, the World Anti-Doping Agency is afraid Italian Authorities will actually...follow the fucking rules.

Again I ask, do you see what's going on here? The steroid Laws both in America and the World are confused at-best and that's because they're based on hypocrisy. And your dollars are funding America's part in it unfortunately. And to top it off, when all is said and done, it's YOU they want sitting in jail as opposed to the athletes. So you'll be doing time in a Federal prison for receiving X amount of milligrams of Testosterone from Mexico, while some athlete continues to drive around in their Bentley GT wondering if their name will appear on a plaque somewhere at-worst.

What wonderful times we live in.

Alright, so now that I'm more situated in Vegas I'm back in the loop.

So I'm sure any of you "I don't really NEED this" guys who have been to GNC recently have tried Nasutra. It's a dick-hard pill that has an anaolog ingredient of viagra (in the same way Red Yest Rice has an analog of statin drugs). It works, it's cheap when compared to pharmaceuticals, it's reputation is astounding.

And the FDA is about to ban it.

So get it while the gettin' is good. GNC is already pulling it from their shelves.

http://www.nasutraonline.com/

Also, very recently the Federal Court of Appeals re-instated the Ephedra ban. So that's that. You CANNOT fight the Empire. ANY dose of ephedra is now illegal again. No more scrutiny.

You know what this means. You online shoppers, keep your eyes peeled for DEA controlled-deliveries. That's how they're busting anabolic users.

lol at creatine being a gateway drug, and fuck you to some fat donut eating senator trying to tell me what is healthy.
its always some one ELSE's fault when some body's son does steroids.

Well slayer, start voting. Because the Government is doing just that.

The FDA is probably one of the single worst Administrations right now.

I am still amazed at how people refuse to accept creatine as a safe supplement.

King, I agree with you on the FDA...they=suck.

Yargh!

Dearest Government,

I Bacon, of sound-knowledge-seeking mind and well conditioned body, do not need protection from myself. But thanks for asking.

Hugs and kisses, slaps and tickles,

Bacon

P.S. Who really killed Kennedy?

Wow........it's times like this that I think "How in the hell do these politicians get away with this!"

Since some in this thread obviously follow the recent legal troubles of some big names in supplements, how is Patrick Arnold faring now? I believe he was arrested for creating or providing "The Clear" in the BALCO investigation. I enjoyed some of his products and CoA's on competitors products.

Last I read he was going to most-likely get the same deal as Conte.

One of the reasons for this huge problem is public ignorance. When i was on creatine, I remember telling numerous aquaintances I was on it and receiving horrified looks. Looks that said "Oh my gosh, isn't that like STEROIDS?" I've had people ask me that before. "creatine? isn't that stuff steroids?"

A month ago my seventeen year old cousin was telling me that protein powder was bad for you. When I asked him where he learned that he said "My personal trainer said that, and I know he knows what he's talking about".

The fact is, people just don't know shit about supplements or even FOOD, and they likely will never learn. I know people who don't know what protein is, and what carbohydrates are.

The FDA visited my store a few weeks ago, along with some other DC establishments and I just received a report they have provided. I of course was clueless to the undercovers but they were here. Scary.

Hit me up, I'll give you some details.

Is'nt it lovely that the goverment is helping us all, I mean after all should'nt people who use steroids go to jail? There just as bad as people stealing for a meth addiction? THIS MAKES SENSE TOO ME!!!!! :)pauses:) NOT

ITs amazing that the goverment can get away with wasting tax payers money on chasing down steroid users and labs in other country's. Its not like we don't have homeless people, a huge defiect, health care and 401k problems. Its good to know the goverment cares so much about every person that there willing to lock me up to protect me from myself?! Its good to know that Multivitamins leads to Creatine , Creatine leads to steriods and steriods leads to coke, meth, herion and death to everyone around you. Hell if your using steriods your probably spreading AIDS because everyone share's needles. Its good to know the goverment is willing to overlook research for there own agenda's. Its good to know i can get one of the most dangerous drugs around Alcohol yet there willing to ban ephadra..... Hnmm this sure makes alot of sense.

Worse, who ends up paying for these supposed hardern criminals to stay locked up? (DRUM ROLL PLEASE) We do! Thats right, we get to pay for inprisioning someone who has done a victomless crime and i use the word crime lightly as in terms of current law. Since we've labled steroid's a criminal's tool to undermine today's youth, forget the fact that kids are fatter, inactive and depressed. After there fall boy MJ ran out, they needed a new enemy to stay in power. So rest assured that all those Evil Ganga Smokers and Steroid users will be locked up, i mean forget the fact those people probably hold decent jobs, have a family and a life.

:icon_twis :icon_twis :icon_twis :icon_twis :icon_twis:

The truth behind this matter is money, and a corrupt goverment with hidden agenda's

never take anything the goverment say's as fact as it is most likely 50% bullshit and 50% twisted truth.

(i hope people realize first two paragraphs are sarcasm/frustration with the bullshit the FDA/DEA Keeps putting out there. )

Sorry for the confusing rant/rave just tired and frustrated with the ignorence of our gorerment.

I can't believe people are too lazy not to research these things themselves and just follow the rest of the sheep

So apparently it's pretty known in the Industry Xyience is not doing so well financially. Here in Vegas they're behind the rent on their beautiful little Corporate Headquarters. Not only that but the guy who does their pill encapsullations (who does them for multiple companies) apparently was never paid and is thus, selling their supplements in pill-form at DIRT cheap prices to attempt to salvage some kind of profit from it.

Then, they recently let all their salespeople go as well.

And from what I'm told the reason, Corporate GNC.

Apparently what the Corporation (mind-you, I work for a Franchise and they work completely differently), does is get supplements from suppliers like Xyience on consignment, and then delays the rate at which the supplier gets paid by about 3 months. And then further still the money just trickles in from that point on.

If Xyience tanks, it won't be the first Company to wilt under the pressure of purchasing Corprorate GNC shelf-space.

This might be a little off topic, but I don't care. This is important. I echo KK's sentiments here. Thanks.

I know I'm coming in late....but I was in the military and I've been piss tested about a dozen times. It's always random testing unless you get caught with something. They test in lots (according to a nurse who's groin I used to frequent). That means they take a days worth of samples, pile it together and then test it for whatever they feel like testing it for. Typically weed, but I'm sure it depends on location and what drugs are readily available. My best friend used to wake and bake before he got out....he was tested 3 times in a one week span. That means, after the big lot came back positive, they called everyone back and RE-tested individually to see who the stoner was. He got lucky.

The US Gov may not be everyone's idea of perfection, but as a former GI, I find it VERY hard to believe that they would EVER test for fucking creatine.
