Official American Supplement Wars News.

Incredibly retarded? lol

The information is very available to you. Just because you choose ignorance doesn't mean whomever disagrees with you based on actual fact must be "incredibly retarded". Investigators absolutely cannot do "whatever they want"...that's as retarded a statement as a person in a Country with Laws can make.

Crimestoppers do not have access to confidential Medical records. Do you understand what confidential means? Do you understand that even if that information was "anonymously" leaked, it can't be used in a Court by Law because it's privileged information?

No, you said investigators can do whatever the hell they want, which is asinine.

Holy feck. Yes I said investegators can do whatever they want. And yes they can. They will be held accountable for their actions just like everyone else, that's the whole point. You said they were cheaters, which is only true if the shit they did doesn't hold up in court because it was illegal, etc. Clearly, they didn't "cheat" or it would've been ruled as such. It's the job of the judicial system to determine legality, not yours.

Do NOT act like there's no such thing in this Country as selective prosecution. It's our job as a people to call a Government on NOT doing their job, not their own jobs to determine whether or not they're doing their job.

Otherwise, it's Socialism, not Democracy.

actually...i don't quite think that particular statement is true. hence the reality of criminal cases being wholly dismissed due to illegal/incorrect procedure.

that's true.....in local and state cases

The Feds have the Patriot Act so they can do pretty much whatever they want. Not to mention the fact that circumstantial evidence and hearsay are both admissable in Federal court.

So basically, feds can do controlled deliveries (which could be seen as entrapment on some levels) and also kick your fucking door in just because [email protected] said you gave him a source

Great thread, just checked it out for the first time. Any news on the oral pro hormones that you can buy over the internet or at certain local supplement shops? At least around me.

there's some good ones out there. (not the SuperdrolNG formula, it's garbage and nowhere anything near the original formula.) But here's the catch: you still need PCT and i hear the feds are starting to not just crack down on steroid suppliers but also ancillary suppliers, so be careful. I don't think you'd really get in trouble for buying them, but it's a distinct possibility you could get your shit confiscated and lose the cash you sent.

Also, stay the fuck away from these UG labs selling AAS. A lot of people out there are getting these anabolic guidebooks that have UG products listed as legit. Bullshit, They're listed as legit because the lab is feeding a kickback to the distributor of the guidebook to label them as legit. There's been reports of motherfuckers dying from staph related to UG gear, and i don't mean the kind of staph you get from not wiping your ass with alcohol first, know what i mean? Remember, the people in these UG labs are unemployed fucks and a lot of the time are amateurs that really don't have a good understanding of what the fuck they're doing. They're just following a recipe so when something goes wrong, they don't have the know how to fix the problem, they just send out a bad batch and fuck you out of your money instead. And if they are pros and they work at a UG lab, they're doing for the sole purpose of making big money fast, so the possibility of them cutting corners and such is still great. Not to mention that there is no QA for these fucking dumps. I've witnessed first hand what goes down in a UG lab and i promise you it's not all it's cracked up to be

Speaking of Political Agendas, this is for those of you who like a bit of politics with your Protein Shake and supplement regimen in the morning...

So the other day my boss and I determine that the BEST way for us to get rich...er uh, I mean do our part in the "War on Terror" is to open a GNC in Iraq. Since reading a bit of Blackwater, we've come to realize there's a much better and more productive plan that will be put into effect.

Now with Iraq being an experiment in free-market economy and venture-capitalism, it's a pretty rad place to bring in foreign business. What with the very little if any taxation on foreign business dollars, and the ability to take 100% of profit out of the Country as opposed to investing back into the local economy, it'd be insane not to bring the World of supplements to Iraq, and do our part to help our "reconstruction" efforts as Americans. Here's what we'll do:

Flying under GNC's radar we'll pile enough stock and capital to open a store overseas, accounting for import taxes and other such things that apply to the foreign market. Then we'll pretend to be Neoconservatives for a while until we can get a sit-down with Erik Prince, founder of Blackwater USA. We'll alert him to our idea of an exclusive high-end, no-expense-spared supplement store where US mercenar...er uh, "reconstruction engineers" will be given the best in discounted supplements to maintain their health in all efforts to help liberate and rebuild the um...people of Iraq. Yeah.

Once he buys the idea (and he will, we'll have an excellent PowerPoint presentation with plenty pictures of Jesus), we'll go overseas with our stock and either build our facility, or occupy one of Saddam's former Palaces and name it as "JBDN." From there we'll stock-pile Capital to be taken out of the Country and strategically placed, capital that will inevitably be used to fund our buy-out of not only GNC, but the parent Company of every supplement store on Earth. We'll carefully assemble a mass privatized chain of JBDN's, and have exclusive lines on direct raw materials extracting and distribution.

The good news continues, with Iraq being our base of operations of course we'll have to purchase security, you know to protect our foreign business from those terrorists (who in our case will likely be out of work local Iraqi supplement store owners and employees who thanks to "De-Baathism", we don't have to employ). With the market saturated, we'll be able to purchase Colombian genocidal mercenar...er uh..."security personnel" at very good rates. We can ignore that they don't speak English very well and shoot indiscriminately, any of our own personnel lost will be classified as "collateral damage" of War Reconstruction efforts. They'll assure our capital is duly defended, and for only a hairline fraction of it...we'll force them to accept the rates of pay by switching contractual terms once they arrive, because the alternative will be the streets of Baghdad once we've taken their return flight tickets.

Now of course US Government will try and convict us of who knows what. This is where we play US Law against itself. See, because we're outfitting US Militia with supplements, we can't be persecuted by any Civilian Courts because we were acting as Military in a time of War. However, we also won't be able to be prosecuted by Military Courts because we're privately contracted Civilians. See how nice that is?

And once we've bought out GNC and every other worthwhile supplement supplier with any Governmental Contracts in any other Country that we care about (they can't be Islamic, or we'll only do business with them if our Government goes to War with them), then we'll consider ourselves the utmost in Professionalism and Excellence of the Supplement Industry. And if GNC disagrees to sell to us, well then their Coprorate Headquarters in Pittsburgh might just find itself flown into randomly by a stray Boeing 747 one day, manned by random Colombian mercenar...er uh, terrorists, and we'll lobby the Government to go to War with Colombia. By then we'll have built ourselves to be the Supplement Industry's answer to Big Oil. We'll call ourselves "Big Supp". And the great news for you consumers is that despite because of Wartime efforts prices will jump at least 150% over the next 8 years or so, only 3 more years after that will they reduce to only a 125% increase from current prices!

JBDN FTW baby.

BTW don't ask me what JBDN stands for. As a Foreign Enterprise the US Freedom of Information Act doesn't require us to give that information.

That's honestly some of my best shit.

You can only invest if you're a NeoCon, and have read "A Parent's Guide to preventing Homosexuality."

I'm not making that book Title up either.

That is a fucking classic, and hilarious/scary funny only because it could totally work.

LOL@"Reconstruction Engineers" and "De-Baathism"

It wouldn't be funny if it weren't actually applicable. If my boss were willing to get a few employees killed, he could really do it and end up raking in millions.

Allow me to save any of you who are silly and naive enough to buy MuscleTech or EAS products a lot of heartache.

There is NO difference between MuscleTech "hardcore" anything and the original versions. They're switching everything over to the "hardcore" name, GAKIC "Hardcore!", CREAKIC "Hardcore!"

I repeat, ZERO difference between the "hardcore" and the original.

You may also see this EAS " Myoplex Hulk" packaging, it's no different than Myoplex. It's just a promotion, just a packaging, no changes to the products.

You know what really grinds my gears?

The lack of updates to this thread.

I've been out of the loop too long. I was going to suggest to Mike that he close this thread, archive it, and start an International one, being as he's in Canadia.

Canadia, eh? :icon_chee

I suppose I could close and archive this, but unless you keep adding to this one, I don't see the point of starting another. I don't think there's a poster here that's quite in tune with the industry like you. I'm not blowing smoke, just calling it like I see it.

As far as Canada goes, it pretty much has the tightest restrictions on OTC supplements, so much so to the point of being completely ridiculous. So if you are out of the loop, I can't even see the loop.

Alright well how about the other side of the spectrum? So many people still trust the FDA, so many people still say "well this isn't FDA approved." The scourge of the American Public being "steroids" or anything that even remotely sounds like it might be steroidal, even creatine. What are they afraid of?

- Suicide because of the "roids."
- Roid rage.
- Heart problems.

Well, let's take a quick look at something that IS FDA approved (from the wikipedia page):

Varenicline (trade name Chantix in the USA and Champix in Europe and other countries, marketed by Pfizer, usually in the form of varenicline tartrate) is a prescription medication used to treat smoking addiction. Varenicline is a nicotinic receptor partial agonist. In this respect, it is similar to cytisine and different from nicotinic antagonist, bupropion, and nicotine replacement therapies (NRTs) like nicotine patches (commonly, "the patch") and nicotine gum. As a partial agonist, it both reduces cravings for and decreases the pleasurable effects of cigarettes and other tobacco products, and through these mechanisms it can assist some patients in stopping smoking.

And now...drum roll...the side effects:

Nausea occurs commonly in people taking varenicline. Other less common side effects include headache, difficulty sleeping, and abnormal dreams. Rare side effects reported by people taking varenicline compared to placebo include change in taste, vomiting, abdominal pain, flatulence, and constipation. In May 2008, Pfizer updated the safety information associated with Chantix, noting that "some patients have reported changes in behavior, agitation, depressed mood, suicidal thoughts or actions."

In November 2007, the FDA announced it had received post-marketing reports that patients using Chantix for smoking cessation had experienced several serious symptoms, including suicidal ideation and occasional suicidal behavior, erratic behavior, and drowsiness. On February 1, 2008 the FDA issued an Alert to further clarify its findings, noting that "it appears increasingly likely that there is an association between Chantix and serious neuropsychiatric symptoms." It is unknown whether the psychiatric symptoms are related to the drug or to nicotine withdrawal symptoms, although not all patients had stopped smoking. The FDA is aware of the highly-publicized case of Carter Albrecht who, in an apparent state of delirium, was shot to death by his neighbor after hitting his girlfriend and then trying to forcibly enter the neighbor's house. Although in this case the delirium appeared to be caused by taking varenicline with a high dose of alcohol, the FDA asked Pfizer for additional cases that might be similar. It also recommended that health care professionals and patients watch for behavioral and mood changes.

Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) conducted an analysis of post-marketing adverse effects reports received by the FDA. According to this analysis, in the fourth quarter of 2007 varenicline accounted for more reports of serious side effects than any other drug. Suicidal acts and ideation, psychosis, and hostility or aggression, including homicidal ideation, were the most prominent psychiatric side effects. Multiple reports suggested that varenicline may be related to the loss of glycemic control and new onset of diabetes, heart rhythm disturbances, skin reactions, vision disturbances, seizures, abnormal muscle spasms and other movement disorders. ISMP noted that the reports do not establish causality and only identify potential causes, and concluded that further research and a priority review of the data by the FDA is necessary.

On Thursday, May 22, 2008, The New York Times reported that the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) had announced the day before a ban on the use of Chantix (varenicline tartrate) for both pilots and air traffic controllers, due to concerns with possible adverse neuropsychiatric effects which could be detrimental to public safety.

On Sunday, May 25, 2008, The Los Angeles Times reported that over 2 dozen traffic accidents had been linked to Chantix and reported to the FDA. Warnings had previously been issued by Pfizer regarding the risks of Chantix while driving, however these warnings have largely been ignored by doctors and patients.

On Tuesday, June 17, 2008, The Washington Times reported on its Front Page that the United States Department of Veterans Affairs was testing Chantix on war veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder without properly warning them of the side effects, and that in one case a veteran was almost killed when he had a psychotic episode and threatened police officers.

On October 23, 2008, the Institute for Safe Medication Practices issued an analysis of prescription drug-related injuries reported to the FDA during the first quarter of 2008. According to the report, varenicline had more reported incidents than any other drug, with 1001 new cases of adverse effects and 50 more deaths reported (Heparin, the drug with the second highest number of injury reports, had 779 new cases, most of which were connected to a contaminate inadvertently introduced into the drug in early 2008). In comparison, the ISMP reported that in the first quarter of 2008 there were 17 serious injury reports for nicotine-replacement products, and 44 reports for bupropion (sold as Zyban as a smoking cessation medication). Varenicline did not rank in the ten drugs with the most related deaths, but did rank first in reports of suicide or self-injury, with 228 reports citing these effects. The ISMP noted that the high number of varenicline-related injury reports may be related to the publicity surrounding the medication's potential side effects.

Or you could just smoke and you know, not kill yourself and other people.

I tried Chantix before when I was trying to quit. It was one of the worst times of my life. I felt like shit. I had constant stomach pains, headaches, horrible dreams and I was a very moody, angry hostile person. I flipped out on my wife for something small and made a big deal. After this incident, I knew it was from the med...so I stopped cold turkey. This was the 2nd time I quit. The 1st time I quit, I used bupropion. That was weird also. I would have feelings of being very relaxed and then in a split second, feel like I can just flip the fuck out but it would quickly stop and I would be calm again. It was a total mind fuck.

Check this out. While taking bupropion, I was directed to take 1 pill a day for 2 weeks (I set my quit day to 2 weeks). I dont remember the dosage(mg) I was taking. Anyway, after 2 weeks, I quit and was directed to now take 2 pills a day. About the 3rd day of taking 2 pills I was at work. Thank god it was at the end of the day. As I was driving home, I started getting real bad itchy feeling on my head and then all over my body. When I got home I started putting all bunch of itching cream and shit everywhere, lol! So I go to sleep, I wake up around 12 AM with the itching even worse than before and really bad chest pains. So I call my Dr who wasnt in and the person that was in recommended I go to the ER. I didnt go right away (dont ask me why). I figured Ill wait and see if it goes away. So I started researching bupropion and sure enough I find out on some forums that people who were having the same problems or worse. I was up to 8AM before I went to ER because at this point I started swelling up and hives were breaking out all over my body. I couldnt even see my knuckles. My hands looked like they were just broken. It looked like a big ball. By the time I got to the ER my eyelids were swelling up and looked like I got my ass beat in a boxing match. They started giving me steroids and benadryl to couteract that. They took blood from me. Everything came back fine. The on call Dr was a dick. He insisted that what happened to me was not from bupropion. That it must be something I ate, or a new detergent I was using. I said I doubt it because the newest change in my life, is the med. He told me that if it was from the med, it wouldve happened within a few days after taking it, not 2-3 weeks later. So I told him maybe the 1 pill a day was fine but 2 pills a day was too much for my body? After all, this happened 2-3 days later after upping the dose to 2 pills a day. He didnt want to hear it, whatever.

Stay the fuck away from any of that shit.
