Oblivian's Adaptations

Weird - a 19:05 5K is 6:09-6:10 for 3.1 miles, I think. Great job in here, nonetheless!

Ya, I noticed that too. It was on the same trail as well. I was pretty disappointed with the mile time, so maybe it was just a bad day running. I was really happy with the 5k time. I've had other timed runs at 1.75 miles that were that fast as well.

Nice. My best 5K is 20:20. I'd be lucky to hit 35:00 right now though. What's it like not being a fat piece of crap?

Holy mackeral. That's really, really impressive. Must be pretty much top speed for the whole period. Wow.

I cut the weight this morning and will have a writeup and photos later, but I want to log yesterdays workouts first and eat my big meal.

Here is the weight cut story. Before people ask me why I dropped the weight, it was for a bet. My wife bet me $155 I couldn't get to 155 lbs even with a water weight cut. At the time I was 190 lbs post bulk. She gave me 9 months to do it. This was 3 months ago.

90 days ago - Post bulk - 190 lbs

*Overall it was pretty easy. I feel good right now. I'm ready to eat whatever I want and put a lot of focus onto strength now. I hit a lot of conditioning goals during this cut, but it was at the cost of neglecting strength. I'm ready to move forward to focusing on strength.

That some serious weight loss, 10 lb/month. You must be happy to be able to eat again eh?

Great work, Oblivian! You should be proud of yourself.

Buy something cool with the $155 and post pics.

Time to get huge!

Congrats Oblivian!

I agree with everyone else, go eat! And good luck with your strength goals.

You look like the pretty men on the magazine's Oblivian. Well, except for the haircut. Nice job.

Excellent job on the weight loss, the speed at which you accomplished it was nuts! I look forward to seeing what you can do with the weights after a couple months of eating.

Deadlift
225 lbs x 5 (DOH Warmup)
295 lbs x 3 (DOH Warmup)
345 lbs x 1 (DOH Warmup)
425 lbs x 1 x 6 sets
*Some of these were harder than they should have been. I'm not sure if it was because this was the day after cutting weight or what. I shouldn't be having grinders with this low of weight.

Front Squat
135 lbs x 5 (Warmup)
185 lbs x 5 (Warmup)
225 lbs x 3
235 lbs x 3
245 lbs x 3

*Just winging it here. I don't start my new routine until Tuesday.

Barbell Curls
95 lbs x 5 x 3 sets

Dumbbell Curls
30 lbs x 12 x 2 sets

*I can't remember the last time I specifically worked on the gunzors. I will be doing assistance every lifting day now that involves isolation. I've neglected specific bicep and tricep work for a while.

Gunzors are sore as shit. I decided that I'm going to take 2 full days off before I start my new routine on Tuesday. I've got some yardwork and other shit to do all day tomorrow anyways. Since my training was early on Saturday, it will be close to 80 hours of rest. I haven't had that for a long time.

Holy crap

AWESOME job dude. Tan needs work but we'll get there, one step at a time.

Lol. Thanks. I mowed the lawn with my shirt off a couple days before, but it wasn't sunny enough to do anything. GTL baby.
