Obama blames Founding Fathers

LOLOL @ fanatical hate! Am I a Hitler, Jack V. Savage? :D

Yes, I do know what it means and the logic of your argument does not follow in any way from picking a guy you think is a far out radical to somehow making me a radical.

eyeroll gif.

Thanks for giving me credit though on the "What Repub could appease the Tea Party" point, by accident though it may be.

My point is that there are no moderate, prominent Republicans. Are you agreeing with that?

As well, Friedman has been known to laud over Chinese central planning a bit too much... as have a few other Liberal columnists, but luckily Friedman has no idea what he is talking about in this case.

Friedman's a liberal now?

not only are the democrats masters at running their own party, they are always trying to tell the republicans who their candidates should be and what message they should sell

Nah. I'm just trying to define what a moderate Republican would be. I understand the exercise requires one to check one's partisanship at the door, which makes it impossible for most WR posters, but I think it's interesting.

Stopped reading at where you talked about a moderate republican supporting cap and trade.

Too bad. You missed out on some good stuff. Also, it might be a good idea to practice reading more, as most adults can take in a paragraph like that a glance.

And of course cap and trade was a Republican alternative to carbon taxes back before they decided pretty much universally that it was better to just pretend like there's no problem.

Define moderate. I think our Republicans, aside from the anti-science nuts, are too moderate.

All right, now that we have gotten past your silly allegations of this and that.

Yes, yes he is and wrote a notorious op ed that praised the Chinese leadership as being "led by a reasonably enlightened group of people" and then wished that oh say President Obama could cut through the red tape of our Republic to you know, take care of those Tea Party types.

I would think that a moderate republican would admit that the earth has indeed warmed over the past 100 years, but would also acknowledge that the rate at which the earth has been warming has slowed tremendously despite global carbon emissions being at an all time high and would focus more on getting the economy back on track at this point in time rather than on making energy unaffordable.

The idea of supporting cap and trade in order to be considered a moderate is laughable.

The anti-science nuts are 90% of the party. And I'd say someone that A) doesn't deny known facts, B) isn't ideologically extreme, and C) isn't procedurally extreme can be called a moderate.

Yes, yes he is

You make a compelling case, but I'm going to have to note that no, no he isn't. What's funny is that you're describing a profoundly illiberal position of his in the process of insisting that he's a liberal.

You really think that they are 90% anti-science nuts? That seems high.

As a foreign policy writer for the Times, Salon, Ect. his body of work defies your attempt at cognitive dissonance.

He is not a Marxist, and professes to espouse "radical moderation," but his support for the American left is not controversial outside of maybe the Jack V. Savage Trotsky think tank.

Have you ever met anyone on the right in your entire adult life?

Have you ever met anyone on the right in your entire adult life?

I know lots of people on the right--friends, family, acquaintances, etc. You thinking that moderate liberals are Trotskyists suggests to me that you've never met anyone who isn't on the far right. But more likely, you're just trying to be annoying or you think that kind of thing is convincing rubes.

You're not a very moderate Liberal, in fact, you spend most of your time calling people idiots, hateful, racists, or religious radicals because they disagree with your to the left views.

You've done it several times in this very thread.

Since you insist on turning every discussion you're involved with personal, why don't you tell me what position of mine isn't moderate?

I don't think so. What percentage are climate deniers? What percentage don't believe in evolution? What percentage think that the stimulus didn't create jobs?

I think in 2014 America, someone who has a scientific outlook is not getting through a GOP primary unless he lies about it.

jack you're the biggest obama fluffer on this board, he doesn't have moderate bone in his body (insert joke here) I'm not going to say you never disagree with him but it's safe to say always defend him

This post would be more effective if you tossed a "hateful" into it. ;)

So again you choose immature OT-style stuff over answering a simple question. And again I conclude that you can't defend your whines.

haha 'Moderate Republican'

Are there moderate Boko Harem? At that point you're just talking about varying degrees of awful.

Of course it ain't his fault, when has it ever been?

Nailed it.

Your greatest foe is bitter irony Jack V. Savage.

And is held low to freezing lips
Too rapt with frost,
To take it..." - Emily Dickinson
