President Obama is taking a swipe at the Founding Fathers, blaming his inability to move his agenda on the

Bicameral legislature. That was the whole point of it, to prevent someone like Obama from coming in and dissolving the rights of those in small states.

Obama's a noob.

The seats should be filled with those that have succeeded in bringing their beloved home state to order. If you state is failing you have no representatives. Stop sucking politicians. :icon_lol:

Don't disagree that much. The Constitution is by no means a perfect document.

He's right. It's also exactly what was intended by the structural design of Congress. It's part of why our system is so great, even though it may not seem that way when you can't get what you want passed.

nothing what he said is wrong.

its ridiculous that a state with 2 people in it has the same legislative power than heavily populated states.

makes it literally possible for a minority to rule over a majority

Well, he's right.
It's funny how much so many of you want some maverick president to change the aura of politics, yet whenever one speaks up on the archaic system we follow, it's pure blasphemy

He is correct and thank the founding fathers for having the foresight . Which I guess he forgot allowed the civil rights movement to progress.

Would you really want the country ran by North Dakotans? I'm from there and wouldn't want them to run the country.

Does seem like a strange system, it probably made sense back when it was written but times move on surely?

No, it doesn't.

Because the House is still set up by population. So the minority will never dominate both sides of Congress. But it does limit the tyranny of the majority.

Obama blames the founding fathers!
Obama takes a swipe at the founding fathers!
Obama literally drops his pants and shits on the founding fathers graves!
Why does Obama hate the founding fathers so much?

This is some really hacky wingnut journamalism.

Seems accurate to me.

Is he wrong...?

He correctly identified the cause of something that affects him personally. If that same cause was benefiting him he'd be singing a different tune.

As would any Republican. Welcome to politics.

What he said wasn't wrong, just his opinion on it is something you'd expect from a dictator. What you said was completely wrong because there's this thing called the House of Representatives which is based on population. Hence why 23432 people show up to those retarded SOTU addresses rather than 100. Even with this system we are still heavily influenced by Tyranny of the Majority. I still hope to see certain states band together and disobey the federal mandate to purchase overpriced healthcare insurance.

This is probably because you're a really hacky wingnut and articles like this are tailored specifically for people like you.

Obama didn't even mention our precious, infallible founding fathers.

You might want to read the op again and it's not the first time he's said this

Mr. Obama said.
The Founding Fathers decided
