It's not just MAGAs. The liberal establishment lost their minds as soon as they realized that Mamdani was going to win after the debates.

The number of bullshit accusations of antisemitism from them was insane.

I think he’s said many times that he’s for leaving the police as is and hiring mental health professionals to do the work that police officers don’t want to do they can just focus on dangerous crime.

That's not what he said during the interiew I saw him in. He specifically stated that too many black and Hispanic guys were getting shot by police, so he will replace armed police officers with social workers in the black and hispanic neighborhoods where most of the crimes are taking place

Yeah I saw the question at the debates. Asking where they want to travel if they win. Then Mamdani gets directly asked if he’d go to Israel lmao. He had the response of just saying he’d stay in New York instead. I thought that was a great answer

TBF There's a lot of NYPD funding that should be slashed or reallocated (ie the office in Israel and the Boston Dynamics robot dogs), but you can't say that out loud without people getting hysterically dishonest about the police force being abolished.

It has a bigger budget than most of the world's militaries.

Having MH workers available on the radio to respond to a mental health issue related call
was always such a welcome benefit as a first responder.
And they almost always did a great job of mitigating the situation one way or another, barring
violence or the urgent need for detainment.

It was the other way around. They asked the candidates where they would travel, and everybody else said that they'd go to Israel.

When he said that he'd stay in New York, the moderators asked him if Israel had a right to exist.

The whole thing was a set up question designed to attack him, and that female moderator got exposed for retweeting negative comments about him after the debate.
