Goals & Gains Nu'Keese vs. A Lawyer

nice volume on the deads.
What do you grip?

Thanks. Double over or hook until 345, hook until 415 or the next weight above if my thumbs aren't sore from cleans and snatches. Mixed grip when the weight/reps start to get difficult.

Cool, I do it the same way. Doh --> hook --> mixed.

"What do you grip" was kinda misleading. I meant what you do when you train your grip on the way home?

My mistake, I was reading that thread about deadlift grips and probably had that on my mind.

I have a few that I use. HG 200 and CoC 2.0 are the ones I keep in my car and use on the way home. I have a CoC 1.5 and 2.5 at home along with a HG 150 and 250. I don't even think I can close the 2.5 any more.

There was a dude at the gym with a sweet Red, White, and Blue Inzer belt deadlifting. Got up to 605 hook grip, maybe I can learn some pointers from him. Looked to be about 245.

i've been looking at inzer belts saw those red white n blue ones, was tempted but i'd feel pretty stupid wearing one considering im not american!

good log btw, as mentioned above the volume on your DL is great, one of the many things i've got to work on

Hahaha, well I guess the belt could apply to all countries with red, white and blue in their flag.

Thanks, it is the Coan Phillipi routine, it's pretty tough.

Your squat is getting very beastly. Do you ever plan on competing in PL?

I actually might look into it sometime soon. The past two Mondays I noticed there was a new guy in the gym who got 605 with a hook grip fairly easy and squatted 550 for a double. I was planning on asking him for information about any local events and if it would be worth my time with my current numbers.

Going to check out a gym that is 35 bucks a month cheaper than my gym, it has a new platform and a real set of bumper plates. Today we had guys walk across the gym to take plates off of the rack we were using that was in the corner of the gym, they were near a tree with the exact weights they took and the two cages were closer also with the weight. I am not sure if these old guys are homosexuals or if they want sons, we also think that we may be invisible. I am hoping this gym will be worth while with people who have some knowledge of gym behavior.

First day of a week trial at a potential new gym. There are pros and cons to it. They have a lifting platform and bumper rack, but the bar and plates did not arive yet, I do not know if they will have a free standing rack to accompany it (forgot to ask). Squat racks are eh...

I was helping a friend squat today so the focus was on getting him to do them comfortably and efficiently so my workout was not really a big deal.

Squat: Went light, will prob make this week an easy week.
