I just hate that we can’t have more than 3 shots. I would love a punt gun or to be able to use all of the mag. It’s a semi auto, I could get rid of the geese all at once.

Probably but I like to think eventually the world will notice our abundance of natural resources and find a way through our government to get something done.

We were welding rocks to steel in Nunavut. The iron ore in the ground there is that concentrated. We have almost every mineral, a shit ton of energy and could be a global powerhouse in a ton of industries. Guess you have a lot of them? We have a lot of Canada geese here. Some people see them as a nuisance but I enjoy a couple that nests on my property every year and has there babies. I've never cooked it. Duck, I love.

Banning walking around is terrible. I think if some idiot is going to start a fire they are probably not smart enough to obey bans on walking around.

Instead of increasing military spending to 5% of GDP Canada should be putting that money towards water bombers, fire trucks, new firefighters and salt water desalination.

Canada needs a major national mobilization to combat the yearly forest fires. With that scumbag rapist and his p-e-d-o protection squad in charge in the USA, climate change will continue to get worse. Every scientist who hasn’t been paid off by big oil has said this kind of problem is permanent, so Canada needs an escalating response.

Unfortunately the USA can’t be counted on to help, but if Canada leads the way other nations that face forest destruction through fires, like France and Germany, would have an example to follow.

So here in Nova Scotia, due to the hot and dry summer we’re having the government banned all outdoor activities in the woods due to the fear of forest fires. This extends to crown (public) and private land.

So as of right now, I can’t even go out on my rural property without facing risk of $25,000 fine. Why dont we ban driving to prevent auto accidents too while we’re at it?

Insane. We already had a strict burn ban. Say what you want but I don’t think the government should ever have the authority to tell me I’m not allowed to go for a walk on my own private land. I’m blatantly disobeying it anyways but curious to see what will become of this. I’d love to get fined over it too because I think you could beat it in court.

I really don’t like how the government gets more expensive, powerful and annoying as time goes on. I’m sure the greater good people will shoot me down but no hiking on my own land? Eat shit.

Re: the bold, what a load of reactionary horseshit. You won't be fined for hiking on your own land. Did you even read your own source?

Landowners are being encouraged to voluntarily follow the same restrictions on their private land to minimize the risk of wildfires. While landowners will not face a fine for activities such as hiking in their own woods, any guest of theirs who is found violating the ban could be fined.

How in the actual fuck can you object to this: "We just need to get through this stretch together and not have any fires."
