Not impressed by gavin tucker

I thought he was exciting. Thought he was younger, 23-25 age range so that is disappointing but i think he has the potential to beat some good fighters. All depends on if he rises to the occasion or accepts just making it to the UFC as his dream
 
He acted like he was 18, so when i found out hes 30 that was...odd especially to act like a douche, but it is what it is. He looked good

He got a late start in MMA, Stipe was the same

Granted, it's easier to do at HW than FW and he's undersized even for 145..... but to say he didn't look good?

He looked damn good! And who ever looks amazing in their UFC debut????

Heavyweight is different. Reflexes are essential at tucker's weightclass. Heavyweight prime is 30
 
I figured he'd have more hype with him after that performance. I'm with you - I was not very impressed and thought it was more Sicilia looking awful than Tucker looking good.
 
Other than the show boating...he looked impressive. Good timing and fights smart...I would like to see his progression.

I think Tucker's game plan was making Sicilia look terrible. Guy was too quick, elusive and just gets out of harms way after scoring some points. He was making Sicilia guess the entire fight.

I don't think Sicilia even went for one takedown the entire fight though. Sicilia seemed to show a bit of evolution when he beat Meza with the wrestling heavy gameplan, but it was like he totally regressed here. He seemed very tentative to throw until Rd 3 when he started having a bit more success. I just think that was a fight tailor made to make Tucker look good. We'll see though - can't fault the guy for having a pretty much perfect performance.

He just fought one of the lowest-ranked fighters in the FW division, and was in another league. That shows promise. It doesn't show that he's the next TJ or Dominick Cruz, but it does show promise. Let's see how he does against someone in the top 40.

I thought he was a lot of fun to watch.

Really? I don't remember that. But even if he did, that happens even in one-sided performances. Khabib got rocked by Michael Johnson before he went on to dominate.

He got hit hard once and smiled it off.
Yeah, it probably hurt as it does most times when a fighter smiles it off, but it didn't rock him at all. No leg wobble, no slowing down of his pace, no nothing.
"Rocked" ... whatever dude
