Not impressed by gavin tucker

Running away, boring leg kicks, more running away...a few whiffs.

The other dude ain't doing sh*t.

Lame fight.

lol boring leg kicks, he turned Sam's leg into hamburger.

By the looks of his fight finder page, we haven't even seen Gavin's bread and butter of submissions.
By the looks of his fight finder page, I'd take those submissions w/ a grain of salt tbh.

Sure, FF can only say so much, but fighters are not limited to their opponents success.

His strikes look supplemental to me. Head kick is good, but everything else was to be busy and open stuff. The few seconds he look on the ground, he was quick to attack and looked like a hunter.

I've only seen this fight, but I get the suspicion he is a more confident fighter on the mat.

His movement is nice though, he still has room to improve.

Aside from his reaction speed and footwork, i didn't really see anything that made me think he will be top 5.

Because of the speed advantage, that was a pretty favorable matchup for him to not get hit but consistently land shots. We have seen sicilia get wrecked far worse by other fighters.

I was impressed by him, however, he's a complete prick. Took a major disliking to his antics in the final round, shouting at Sicilia's corner etc. We get it mate, you're excited, but tone it down. I'll be looking forward to seeing him get humbled but he's good.

How many times do you make a thread like this when a fighter debuts?

TS is another sherdogger who can't wake up for a non-top 5 fight, a fighter without a online gimmick, and posts for reactions.

Dude is 30, with less than 10 fights, in his UFC debut and you we're expecting more?

Tucker doesn't look like a champion, but he looks like a fun fighter. He attacked for a leg lock right away. Most of his wins by were by sub and Sam didn't want to throw shit.

Ive never made a thread like this. He looked stiff and square. That whole "dominick cruz" style is completely overrated. A decent boxer with real textbook footwork dismantle it. We need more fundamentalists. Not unorthodox showboaty bs. That only works if your reflexes are out of this world.

Stiff and square? If you mean Sam, he sure did. Gavin had incredible footwork and his defense made Sam look like a rookie. I don't know what fight you were watching.

Damn, this dude Gavin Tuckers stand up is legit. Dudes got angles, footwork, speed and his Thai kicks are some of the best in MMA. Beautiful display of what MMA striking is evolving towards

He's a kid and he just got a win over a respectable veteran, he's a solid prospect for sure....and I hate admitting that because I can't stand Halifax.

his footwork was mediocre at best. he stands too square. quit switching stances. I know 16 year old amateur boxers with better footwork

hes 30. he realistically has 5-7 more years of his career

i was annoyed by his antics but he did well

Looked real good. It's hard to fluster guys with pure speed.

how did Halifax do you wrong?

I lived there for 3 years and it was a generally horrible experience. Alot of it was the people I ended up spending my time with, which isn't really the city's fault, so I guess my hate isn't totally rational.

I'm sure Sam didn't get think his footwork was bad. He dominated him the entire fight.
