Meh you KNOW Canadian MMA is desperate for new talent when their hopes rely on a guy who acted like he WON A TITLE because he decisioned an 0-3 Sam Sicilia.



Can't say I'm too impressed by him decisioning a sloppy brawler who has no business being in the UFC.

He's just a guy who the UFC will use to cater to their starved Canadian demographic until he gets fed to a capable fighter.

I don't think Sicilia even went for one takedown the entire fight though. Sicilia seemed to show a bit of evolution when he beat Meza with the wrestling heavy gameplan, but it was like he totally regressed here. He seemed very tentative to throw until Rd 3 when he started having a bit more success. I just think that was a fight tailor made to make Tucker look good. We'll see though - can't fault the guy for having a pretty much perfect performance.

I think the reason Sicilia had better success in the 3rd was out of desperation. He was getting picked apart but was willing to take more punishment to dish out some. Gavin was too slick to fall for it though. This kid has good potential. I just hope he doesn't go to TriStar...their fighters don't take too much risk it becomes boring...

I really liked him in the first 12 minutes of the fight. The showboating was a bit rich, but whatever. He has got bantam weight speed in the featherweights.
