No way Swanson loses to Poirier

I'd give Swanson the definite advantage in the striking department. Poirer in the BJJ department, but we'll see who's wrestling is better.

Having to fight Nam Phan really didn't prove anything for Siver unfortunately. Nam is really bad, his one strength (boxing) isn't even that effective and his so-called BJJ is non-existent along with his TDD. It's really hard to see if Siver has really become a contender off that fight. Beating Nunes is good but he still needed another test before even fighting in a #1 contender match against Cub imo. It woulda just looked like his fight against Cerrone.

Actually, this will be a competitive fight. Swanson has been on a tare, but Poirier is not walk in the park for most at 145lbs

Poirier is one of the best FWs in the UFC. All this Swanson hype is a little much. Cub is top ten too but people seem to be forgetting that Dustin is an animal.

One loss changes everyones opinion on a fighter. Once Cub losses again he will be considered overrated. MMA fans have a short memory

If this fight was announced a year ago everyone would be all over Dustin. Swanson has been winning lately but I still think Dustin beats him.

I hate threads like this. I remember everyone saying no way Fedor loses to Werdum and this fight seems a lot closer on paper.

It's gonna be a hell of a fight. Both guys are scrappy and well rounded.

This will be a war.

This is a toss up for me and I am maybe a little disappointed that they are fighting each other because I think both deserve an opportunity to move into contention. That is why this fight doesn't make all that much sense given the list of challengers to Aldo is already thin. This sets back one such challenger.

Really hope people fall for the Poirier hype and make Swanson a moderate underdog!

There's no way that Frank Mir could beat Nog once let alone twice. Mir certainly couldn't tko him or submit him.
