Nintendo Nintendo Megathread, v.6: Switch 2 Edition

Expect that for pretty much all third party Switch 2 games.

This is going to remain pretty much a first party machine for me.
I almost bought a Switch 2 last week until I learned about the game key nonsense.

An app for the Nintendo Store has been released on IOS/ Android and you can also check your playtime history going back to the 3DS and WiiU if your account goes back that far

I think that the only good/useful thing about it, is that you can easily copy videos/pics from switch to that app to have it on mobile if you wan to share it with anyone

I like my not-so-big collection of physical cards, so I finally get to add - and play - Hades 2, tomorrow. I cannot wait. Hades was a blast and this looks to improve on it and add more builds etc. Let's go.

If you liked the original you will love this.

Familiar but different. Once it gets going it gets very addicting..

Anyone else have zero interest in that Kirby racer? I thought it would be cool at first but the more they revealed the less I became interested. So far my Switch 2 has become a Hades 2 machine. I'm hoping Metroid has good reviews but I'm also not holding out too much hope for that game since its been in development forever and previews were kind of mixed. Not really a good start to the console imo. Don't regret it since Nintendo rarely reduces hardware and software prices but I certainly hope next year has some better games.

Fwiw they do have a strong line up just a few months in. Granted the offerings may not be to everyone's tastes, (ie I was never into Pokemon..) but you'd be hard pressed to find a console with so many releases so close to launch.

If you still have an SNES, I'm just gonna leave this here...

Looks a hell of a lot better than Steam Deck if you're into playing this on a portable.

Why not just post this stuff in the Nintendo thread? Anyway, it’s a PS4 game. Why wouldn’t it be able to run well? From Software isn’t exactly known for pushing cutting edge graphics. I’m more curious to see how Pragmata will run. Wondering if it will be 30 FPS.

I want to play DK Bonanza so bad, but the prices of these games are a boner kill. $100 dollars!

I'll probably pull the trigger on getting a switch 2 but God damn.

Costco has had it for sale in Canada at 30% off. I do agree with the high prices, I would have bought Metroid 4... but at that huge price I can't justify spending that much when I can get games on Steam/Xbox store for way cheaper.

Switch 2, nothing but crappy games and selling people cardboard for 80$.. I felt like the worlds biggest retard after buying pokemon za, that shit is worse than most mobile games. I couldn’t imagine buying that new Metroid piece of crap or anything else from them again.

Is Nintendo even capable of making a decent game let alone anything worth while again? Or are they just going to keep selling shitty games and cardboard at a premium price on outdated hardware?

A lot of people are now going back to the 3ds , ds , game cube era of Nintendo , that’s why their console prices are skyrocketing

Yeah that's pretty wild. Mine is still in mint condition, nice to know I can get some decent $$ if I had to, but it would take a crisis lol. I have the XL, love the 3D. The window was too narrow/easy to lose the 3D effect on the normal sized one, def preferred the bigger screen too, and the nub for camera control.

Where are you getting this information from?

Yeah, agreed.

Ive had no urge to get a Nintendo in years and I enjoy having hardware, not cardboard upcs.
