I don't like it. Luque had that "brain bleed" issue a couple of years ago and should have retired. The only reason he got ranked so highly was beating the corpse of Woodley (and almost got KO'd in the process). Only other ranked win at WW was Chiesa, then got bookend destroyed by journeymen while squeezing in a hard fought win over a 39 year old version of LW RDA. Nick, on the other hand should only be fighting some other old veteran, maybe someone like Wonderboy or Weidman, not some guy from TUF 21 who's fading away into obscurity.

Nick Diaz did not loose a portion for career, he was eligible to fight a year and half later after his bout with A.Silva. He was still young at 32 or 33. Nick Diaz literally only has himself to blame for how his career went, no one else. He started hanging with Rousey turned into an Alcoholic and lived off Nate’s stardom from the Conor bouts.

Hmmmmmmm, well the way I understand it -
Nick eventually got the 5 year suspension reduced - Lundvall wanted him banned for life.

Be that as it may, Nick couldn't, or wouldn't, pay the $165 K fine and was ineligible to compete. I wouldn't put it all on Nick - but hey, you do you.

Well he hasn't won a fight since 2011, so there has been no reason to be confident in Nick in a long time. I say that as a Diaz fan.

Another way to word that is losing his last 4 fights, 1 was current champ and two former champs. Other was for interim.

I'll be interested to see an interview of Nick in early November. I think his mentality and physical shape will be obvious by that point and we'll know what we're getting.
