I guess it depends who you get, but I think Draisaitl is a lot more valuable than people give him credit for.

However Oilers defense and goaltending simply aint good ehough.

Something is going on with Edmonton. McDavid has been essentially non-existent this season even when healthy. Before making big moves, it's probably important to address whatever the underlying issue is with this team. I know it's early, but 2 wins in 12 games is bizarre for a Cup contender.

I don't know if firing the head coach is going to do anything at this point. Unless he's solely responsible for their defensive system. It looks like they saw how Vegas plays and decided that they need to play like that without realizing they have none of the depth or defensive talent.

The goalie coach and Holland should be gone for sure. It can't be entirely coincidence that goalies look better before and after playing in Edmonton. Holland has one card left to play and it's gonna need to involve moving a good prospect, a first round pick, and a bad contract.

They also might need to pay someone to assassinate Nurse. 9 million a year for that is a crime against humanity.

They're going to have to play on something like 105 point pace for the next 70 games to break 90 points for the season. Good luck.

Checked their site and my guess is Mark Stuart is the coach responsible for defense (673 NHL games as dman). Retired 2018.


Yeah Nurse aint the worst dman in the world but man that contract is brutal.
