Was Belfour before or after Cujo? Those poor bastards had to play behind the McCabe Kaberle defenses.

After. Can't remember if he directly replaced him, or they had a few scrubs in between. I remember this one guy with these stupid checkerboard pads in midst, but he might have just been a backup.

Anyone paying attention to Canadian politics?
It's been an interesting couple weeks.

NDP party has gained several seats due to Canadians losing faith in the liberals and not wanting to vote Conservative, yet.
Immediately after the NDP joined a coalition with the liberals, and promised to support anything the liberals wanted, giving Justin and the Liberals the majority again.

NDP voters have not been happy with their representatives, demanding to drop or extend cuts on the carbon tax. (after the liberals gave cuts to places that voted liberal)

The conservatives have been mocking and pressuring the NDPs, who have the chance to be something besides a joke 3rd party, to speak for their voters and not be a puppet for Justin.
It happened.
The NDP said they would vote on a pause on carbon tax for home heating, supporting their own voters.

So, Justin went to the separatist party of Canada, and made an agreement with them.

Justin has teamed up with the Bloc, a party that wants to separate from Canada, to enforce a tax on Canadians nobody supports.

Crazy Canada.

Not sure what this has to do with hockey (if there is a connection I'm missing, please correct me I won't be offended). I'd prefer to keep the thread at least semi focused. Seen too many others devolve into stupidity because of politics.

I'd recommend ignoring it or hitting report.

I could make some link by saying things like...
It costs 1.1 million on average for a house in Toronto, while the Leafs have 9 guys who make less than that.
Eased taxes would it make it easier for Toronto to compete in the NHL.

I can talk about how the liberals have sensationalized, taxed, and re-organized Hockey Canada, and has lost them millions in sponsorship deals and in turn hurting the development of our players.

But you don't want that discussion, and neither do I.
I just wanted to shit post about something I found interesting in a small thread, with majority Canadian takes.

Wasn't trying to go after you, and I was legit wondering if there was a direct connection since it seemed like a fairly random post.

Got nothing against you.

Red Wings getting fucked tonight.

Its hard to watch.

The come down begins.

Got a couple back in the 3rd, but sure wasn't their night.

I'm just anxiously awaiting the Penguins melt down. They are in for a long rebuild.

That Avs-Devils 2nd period was something to behold.

the sharks just won their first game against the flyers.

being the first team to lose to san jose this year has gotta sting a little. just for added shock value i was hoping they could have held off of scoring until the edmonton game.

canucks open up their road trip against ottawa with 2 goals on the first 2 shots. wonder if the sens fans will be booing their team off the ice again?

damn i didnt know terasenko was playing for the sens

LOL, can you even imagine going 1-10 to start a season?
and THEN being the team to give them their first win?
smh, the shame.

Hope the Oil lose today.

They are falling off worse than Huberdeau did from two years ago to last year.
