First of all, Gane has 3 different submission wins in his career. He alone seems to be above blue belt level.

Secondly, Ngannou grappling has improved significantly and keeps on improving.

Thirdly, BJJ by itself is the least effective martial art in modern MMA. These 2 would KO any BJJ guy shooting for a single leg in few seconds.

To be fair though Ngannou TKOed Blaydes twice first and chins tend to get worse over time with more head trauma and KO/TKOs. Lewis does have more KO/TKOs 12 vs 10 but he also has more fights in the UFC, 21 vs Ngannou's 13 making Lewis' KO/TKO ratio significantly lower, Ngannou's UFC KO/TKO ratio is 76.9%, Lewis' is 57.1%.
