Ngannou said he was nothing special for where he comes from. What if that's true?

To us, he's basically like a physical god. But he said that where he comes from in Africa, every guy is built like him. That he's just an average guy. What if he wasn't lying.

What if where he comes from, there really are thousands or millions of guys built like him with the same speed, strength, and explosiveness. But they're just languishing away in the middle of nowhere in extreme poverty and no one's ever heard of them.

What could they potentially bring to the world of sports? Why hasn't a college football scout or an NFL scout gone out there, gone to a construction site, found a dozen Ngannou's, brought them over on a college scholarship, trained them for 4 years, and won championships?

I don't think it's true, you get plenty of Cameroonians given opportunities in soccer and there's only really Samuel Eto'o who turned out to be one of the best players in the world.

Soccer isn't boxing/ MMA/ football though. I don't see how Ngannou's attributes would translate that well into soccer. Not even much more so than my manlet European/ Asian genetics. But if it's a contest of punching someone, picking up heavy things, running somewhere close by really fast, or running into someone.. he's basically a god.

Ngannou isn't really built like a soccer player..

Dunno these days, you get units like Adama Traore playing.

For sure there would be a lot of physically gifted guys (maybe not as gifted as Francis but still) in Cameroon, just like everywhere else.

The problem is the vast majority of people aren't interested in combat sports so you will never see them compete.

Africa on the whole though has produced lot's of amazing talent though, especially if you look at the French players with African decent.. most exciting young footballer in the world Mbappe is of Cameroonian decent.

Anomaly though. Everybody talks about how jacked he is, because there's no one like him in football
A lot of the Bayern squad are pretty jacked now a days

He is not lying. It is 100% true.

Look at most major sports look at the massive presence black athletes have in them. Now think of the BILLIONS of Africans who don’t have the opportunity to even play a sport let alone go pro.

There is absolutely no question that there are hundreds of not thousands of potential super athletes on the continent of Africa. Sadly most don’t have the infrastructure around to allow them to be shine
