Ngannou is rumored to become an MMA free agent at some point this year, he should return to the UFC

I think it worked out great, 2 massive paydays in Boxing making more money each than all his UFC fights combined and an easy fight in the PFL.

Again, Dana is an emotional man who holds personal grudges but any sober minded fight promoter would now try to get Francis back for at least one UFC superfight, now that Francis got the boxing itch out of him.

The UFC HW division has been in shambles since Francis left.

I think his post UFC life has worked out pretty well. He got the money and fights he was looking for.
If the money and the experience of boxing a couple big names was the only goal then sure. Depends on the priorities I guess. Going to a lower tier MMA organization with little chance of coming back to the big leagues, going 0-2 in boxing while getting humiliated and knocked dead kinda sucks in my opinion though.

I'm not sure why an employee of a billion dollar company can't get health insurance. Fucking starbucks gives health insurance
Starbucks employees have different occupational hazards. Do you think their insurance premiums would be the same as a cage fighter?

LOL, nothing more than BS from Francis to make the most bank for the least amount of work.
He lied, and conned his way into the hearts of the rubes, and the weak in here.

I posted over, and over, ad infinitum. Pointing out every lie he ever told, in public. And also where he was a lowlife. Hard to work with.. That’s probably why EVERY MMA org of substance (ONE, RIZIN, Bellator). As well as the BKFC. Said he was delusional, and nobody wanted anything to do with him.

He was literally asking for OWNERSHIP stakes, and a seat on the BOARD of these orgs.

He’s a walking, talking, POS. Tried to play Robin Hood. Except he never took from the rich to give to the poor. He only cares about HIMSELF.

No but i think a billion dollar company who makes more then enough can easily pay there employees medical. Dana could pay with 5 percent of his salary

"Independent contractors". Technically not employees. I'm sure Hunter and Dana have amazing insurance though
Yeah independent who can't fight anywhere else and can't promote anything for themselves. It makes me laugh how dumb the fighters are. They wouldn't unionize on there principles but go look at the other sports and see there medical and retirement. Shit I bet you the wwe wrastlers have medical

Big frank is likely getting the frank shamrock treatment.

Almost positive they do now. Wasn't always the case.
I'm sure Vincent might be greedy but he always respected his talent. He would be the first to tell you how hard there job was and they were extremely important. Dana believes he is the most important and that the fighters are peons. He doesn't even care about the money it's just about controlling a bunch of the baddest dudes in the world.

they really should. They already cover injuries that happen during a fight or during a camp for a fight.

It's just nonsense. My job paid a 1000 a month and we paid 200. So 1200 a month premium. Even if that quadrupled that's 5000 a month per athlete. I think that's like 6 million even if it's 10 mil per year. Netflix is paying a billion a year. Literally 1 percent of the money

He discarded wrasslers like an old toy.

Of course he did he is an ass and a boss. You can't always be the good guy. You can cover there health insurance. Also vince did wrestle and really put it out there so he probably understood the toll

I know it's a throwaway comment, but it's an interesting question.
How much premium and gap (deductible) would the profession of cage fighter result in?
What would be coverage limitations?
What is the period, post Ufc contracted period, that fighters are covered for?

You know that any injuries sustained during actual fights and in fight week, including routine check-ups, are specifically covered already. So it's training injuries and long term post fight career injuries that are being debated.
How does ufc control how fighters train and live, and should /could they even be responsible for these choices?

It's a really complex issue and nothing as simple as a "hurr durr no gap for dental for a barista" bulk commodity coverage.

It is but they can pay for them and there families. I said 10 million a year earlier what if its 20. Honestly who cares. Why should these guys families be on medi cal or whatever the fuck government insurance where they live. The idea that this employer just pockets 80 percent of the profits and can't even insure them. So we the taxpayer have to foot the bill too. If you think these lower paid guys aren't getting obamacare or whatever they are.

no way he returns, dana called him a scumbag and slandered him publicly and ngannou also shit talked dana on twitter, dana's not letting him come back out of spite

If Jon wants to fight him there is no way in hell Dana wouldn't let Francis back in. Business is business.

Dana used to trash Fedor and his managers yet negotiate with them to sign Fedor several times. It’s not impossible. If Jones were to fight Aspinall and win, a Jones vs Ngannou fight would still do big business for a final Jones fight under that scenario. A lot of “if” scenarios.
