NFL players are D Level athletes.

D-level may be a bit too generous, more like F-G level at best:

A-level: C.Ronaldo, Messi $80M
B-level: Federer, Lebron $65M
C-level: T.Woods, K.Bryant $50M
D-level: Djokovic, Ibrahimovic $40M
F-level: M.Sharapova, P.Manning $30M
G-level: J.J. Watt, Ndamukong Suh $25M

(sign on bonuses averaged out)

Pretty straight forward.

Who's that guy jumping out of the pool?

I actually think on the average Baseball players are the worst. They might play a ton of games but for the most part don't do much, aside from the pitcher. Is it hard to hit a fastball for a home run? Sure. But a Right fielder stands out there for how many minutes of the game and does nothing.

NBA players run and run, sure thing but for the most part its endurance and hand eye.

NHL players skate, hit, fight, have great hand eye and play often.

NFL players, have such a wide array of skills I think its tough. A wide receiver is strong and fast, with great hand eye. A running back is strong and has great stamina. A linebacker is quick and strong. Sure you have the offensive lineman or defensive lineman who are strong but don't have to run like crazy.

Take it on the average and I would rank it like this when it comes to overall athletic ability on average:
NHL
NFL
NBA
Golf
Cricket
MLB

I don't think MMA really fits because to fight in the UFC you have to be a freakish athlete.

LOL @ Ranking NHL at number one.

You conservative people are funny.

my comments in red

You are deviating from your original point.

You said that Lesnar was an NFL reject and still made waves in MMA, implying he was somehow had inferior potential to be an MMA fighter because of it.

We've already established that his athleticism was on par with the best in the NFL, and that being skilled at football doesn't translate to MMA. So again, what exactly is your point about Lesnar being a so called "NFL reject"?

Over half of NFL players are OBESE. Nobody in the NFL would ever beat someone like Brock Lesnar.

Weidman would have someone like Suh tapping in less than a minute even with a 100lbs disadvantage.

Stephen Neal who used to play for the Patriots had defeated Lesnar in a NCAA Wrestling match.

NFL has many Brock Lesnars.

Bob Sapp could not cut it in the NFL because he was not explosive or fast enough yet he almost decapitated Big Nog.

Only weak small men like yourself would call NFL players obese. Go get some steroids, buy some weight gainers, lift weights and become a man.

Ok, I never said it wasn't.

Why are NHL players "greater than all other athletes in other sports"?

Cause any muhfcka can grab a ball and run to the field or court with their friends...when you add skating into the the mix, thats a whole other level of athletisism right there. Add to the fact you have to be legitimately tough as fighting is just as much a part of the game as slap shots.

Hockey is the ultimate guy sport. Requires skill, finesse, cardio, strength and raw toughness.

Hockey is the ultimate guy sport because they skate?

I challenge you to name me one stick and ball sport which requires more skill. If you have never strapped on skates and played hockey then dont even bother, cause ive played everything from soocer to basketball to rugby, tennis, golf, baseball, lacross, you name it....
Hockey is the most difficult and beats most anything just for the sheer fact you have to know hiw to actually skate, and skate well. Dont get me started on everything else it takes to play that sport. Ive seen hockey players play soccer and basketball...get lebron to lace some skates and be prepared to laugh in 2 seconds.

You know that guy in the gif you replied to is 6'4", right?

Comparing a 5'9" McGregor to a 6'4" athletic fucking monster is a little dumb. Also, what McGregor is trying to do, most people can't do that on their first few tries. Actually, most people in this world can't do what McGregor was trying to do in general. You can't do it, either.

Who cares if he isn't as athletic as JJ fucking Watt. Conor is fast, powerful, has some decent cardio and is doing great in his sport. MMA is one of those sports you don't have to be the greatest athlete around to be successful. It's all about skill and dedication, not about being born with more impressive physical traits.

I expect some goof will talk about how these 'A-level' athletes would come over with 2 months of training and dominate, but that's really not the case. It doesn't really have anything to do with how athletic you are. It's about skill and dedication. We've seen guys who aren't even fucking CLOSE to being as athletic as their opponent but still beat their ass very easily.

Oh well, at least McGregor is trying to better himself as an athlete and fighter. Meanwhile we have idiots on here with man boobs saying how he's a shitty athlete, while comparing him to JJ Watt, that guy is a fucking monster. Go look him up. He's a fucking monster athlete. Some are simply just better than others in terms of athleticism. Yoel Romero is a hell of an athlete, but if he didn't possess the skills he does right now, he would not be a top guy, not even close. Hard work, dedication, all that is more important than simply being physically more impressive. Amazing athleticism can only take you so far in fighting, if you don't have the skill, you will not be the best.

Relax, bruh, there is another gif of McGregor jumping onto the beam the next day without any problems.

Who's that guy jumping out of the pool?

BJ Penn - thought everyone knew that. There is also another gif of Connor actually making the beam jump with no problems the next day - haters just ignore it.

You just say what you say because you are a skinny suburban guy who is intimidated by big bad black men and want to feel good about yourself while voting for anyone whose last name is Bush.

It is not hard to skate if you practice doing it.

Try running at high speed while dribbling a ball and trying to make accurate shots into a basket ten feet high in the air while other 6'7 tall men try to take that ball away from you...All without double dribbling or losing the ball.

Now I am not saying Hockey does not take lots of skills because it does. All these sports takes skills. But you are coming on here acting all condescending and shit.

I don't know a single person that can do that and neither do you.

Why do you losers on these forums assumed that everyone else that signs onto a forum to simply discuss things is also a loser as well?

Surprised to see the NHL has the highest league minimum salary of the North American top 4, the players' union did a good job negotiating.

The NFL's player union has to be the worst ever! Football in the US is huge, way, way bigger than hockey yet they are the worst paid??

Most telling thing about the NFL athletes is that 78% of them are bankrupt just two years after they stop playing...they need a union and guidance
