I want Geno to start. But Vick is about as good a contingency plan as I could have hoped for. Especially on a deal like that.

The Raiders could pay Schaub 20 million, it wouldn't matter. They need a starting QB next year, and after that they can cut him.
 
And why wouldn't you see if Pryor can amount to a starter? Schaub is spoiled goods, the raiders are not in position to win anyways. Counter productive.

I don't think anyone knows for sure what Vick or Schaub is going to bring to the table, very few sure things at the QB position anyway. Neither the Jets or Raiders is mortgaging the future with the signings, so they really aren't bad moves IMO.

Raiders acquired QB Matt Schaub from the Texans in exchange for a 2014 sixth-round draft pick.

Same story, different year. The Raiders have now traded for Carson Palmer, Matt Flynn, and Schaub over the last four years, none remotely a long-term solution or even a viable short-term fix. Schaub, 33 in June, was benched for Case Keenum in Houston last year and has a 16:20 TD-to-INT ratio since Thanksgiving of 2012. The fact that any team -- let alone a Raiders squad that should be holding onto draft picks with a vice grip -- gave up compensation for this player is utterly incomprehensible. Schaub has a $10 million base salary plus $1 million in per-game roster bonuses due in 2014. He's a lock to open the season as Oakland's starting quarterback, regardless of what happens at the No. 5 overall pick. This trade was a job well done by Texans GM Rick Smith.

Ehhh...every situation and player is unique. Schaub's success or failure has absolutely nothing to do with what happened to a different player in the past. Must be nice to get paid to give your opinion though.

He's also the guy that said Nnamdi was going to the Jets, back when Nnamdi was a commodity. He's about as reliable as dollar store toilet paper
 
Definitely not 100% reliable. But he's been pretty good of late. We'll see.
 
I think it's amusing Vick gets so much hatred, Big Ben was accused of sexual assault and rape multiple times but never got to court thanks to a few mysterious settlements.

What the hell is Dallas doing? Is Weedan even better than Kyle Ortin?

This.... You could put Peyton Manning on that can squad and they wouldn't win 8 games. Why not run with one of your young guys and keep your draft picks? The Raiders are a fucking dumpster fire.

If they wanted to take a chance why not sign Sanchez, arguably just as good as schaub and younger.

Imagine if the raiders signed veldheer, houston, and then made a run at verner benett and raji That would be a more productive way to win now. Instead they're signing veterans who have nothing left for big money.

Again. Two wrongs don't make a right. Why is Vick any less of a scumbag because of Roethlisberger's actions?
 
Because people are biased and racist, its okay to hate Vick but nobody says a word about Big Ben. Don't be a Bigot.

And its hysterical people attempting to compare animals to people. It's okay to raise and kill cows, torture live stock but only if they are for consumption? The irony is strong.
