It was alright. I enjoyed it enough to watch it within 3 days or so. I'm a huge fan of Atlanta, so if you tell me it has Donald Glover and the director Hiro Murai, I'm gonna watch.
What it does well is humanize these characters, something the movie didn't really do. Similar to watching Daniel Craig get his butt whooped in Casino Royale and cry in the mirror about it, the show takes these spy characters and tries to deliver solid character archs. Does it always work? No, not every time. I still enjoyed it quite a bit.
It's not "woke" in my opinion. They explain that there are multiple Mr. and Mrs. Smiths in this company, so who knows, Brad and Angelina might be in the same universe. A cameo from one of them would've been awesome.
To me, it was a solid series that I enjoyed. I didn't love, but I did enjoy it.
