New California law

I guess if you're lazy as fuck. Full time is 12 credits which is basically 4 classes a week. Lots of people, myself included managed heavier credit loads than that while working our way through college. Also, Community college is easy as fuck, its a joke.
I did 21 hours and worked full time for one semester. That was hard because of the time requirements. Every other semester I did was 16-18 though. I forget what the scale was but at some credit level they stopped charging you, so I stayed just above that

Most schools consider 12 to be full time and you can take as many as you want after that.
My record was 18 credits of all science and engineering, including 2 labs. It was no joke but you can do it if you're willing to make the sacrifice. Don't tell CA pols though, some people just don't want to work hard.

Biology was the worst. Recitation, lab, and lecture. Not available on The same day Five credits. Fuck you bio department. Why?
Chemistry was a lecture and lab, also way harder for me (turns out my high school chemistry was worthless) but didn’t have a recitation. Ugh

75% of CA counties, as well as hundreds of individual cities, are outright banning any sales or cultivation of cannabis, despite the clear will of the voters. the war against weed is far from over, many think it will now be much worse with more laws to enforce ,not less.

Bitch please
You can work full time and go to school full time. I did it for my entire time in college and was still on the deans list. You just have to gasp work hard and not party as much. Fucking Nazis if you ask me

You can, not everyone can. It depends on which classes are offered at what time (some are only offered during the day others only during the evening, ect for various reasons). Also different majors require different amounts of work. Say a real stem major would require more hours than some bullshit liberal arts major.

This is 100% pure bullshit. According to the OP it says the FIRST year of community college is free for full-time students. FIRST year is a bunch of garbage introduction courses which are usually in the 100 level. Full time usually means 12 credit hours so most people will be looking at 3-4 classes... my point being that "full time" in first year community college isn't anything difficult or time consuming, so anybody should be able to hold down a job as well as school.

I hate when somebody like you takes this negative approach that giving away free college is now going to make it harder for people to survive. Would you prefer they remove this all together and continue to make people pay for it? I'm sure those low-income people you're talking about would love to pay for college when they didn't have to.

What do I want?

Affermative action based on income and not race.
Free tuition not for everyone but for people who actually need it, such as low income families.

If college is a good investment, it doesn't need to be subsidized.
If it's not there's no reason to.

California is the closest thing the US has to a first world country

Work nights. Go to school days. There are no classes at 4am. I worked and then drove from work to school. Two years of this included 24 hours a week of clinicals and 14 or more hours of classes (clinicals counted as two hours). Was it easy? No. Was it this or not graduate? Yes.

Imagine typing this out and then hitting post

Let's be honest, most of these liberal arts degrees have no use in the professional world. How do these professors face their students knowing that these majors have no use in the real world? Yet their students are spending years on it. These kids could have learned a trade.

This already exists... ever heard of the Pell Grant? You can also be proactive and earn your college tuition through 4 years of military service and the GI Bill. If a state has its own tax money they can spend it as they choose, but in general college shouldn't be a federally funded thing. The only reason I commented on your post was because it was the usual "victim" bullshit where somehow poor people wouldn't benefit because they would have to work. MANY people choose to work while going to college and they do quite well for themselves.

I've stated before in other threads that I would have no issue with the US investing money in the trades, ie metal working / carpentry / plumbing, but I can't see how other people should be forced to pay for the "college experience" for the general population. STEM degrees I would have no issue be heavily subsidized, but no chance in hell should every liberal arts degree be subsidized.

Your generic and tired rageboner for studies you know very little about is irrelevant to the point I was making

Then refute me. Lets list the liberal arts degrees that you can graduate with and what specific careers they prepare you for.

It's all a money grab scheme. They want to expand liberal arts and trick kids into wasting years and tens of thousands of debt or government funding.

These liberal arts department heads and professors just want bigger budgets and increased job security by tricking more kids into their majors.

No, because precisely like I said, your feud with certain studies is not relevant to what I was saying.

You are going to stand by while these people exploit children by misinformation and holding back information.

Do you agree that every major should be forced to give the following information for every degree they give out:
% of graduates that got hired
How long it took them to get hired
What is the average salary
Estimated cost of degree
