Net Neutrality is dead, FCC voted to kill it.

Things have gotten so much harder for you over the years.

Be honest here, do you think I want worse internet service? Why are you on the same side as all the biggest internet corporations?

You getting a bunch of lag time on netflix? I've never had 1 second of lag time on netflix or youtube. Cell phones were expensive as fuck like 10 years ago. None of them offered internet and you paid like 10 cents/minute. Smart phones are only like 10 years old.

Follow the damn links. He proved exactly what he was talking about. You're in denial.

I did. One was a a guess at what they think verizon plans to do, anther was a sabotage of netflix, which nobody has had any problem with, and the other was facetime, which nobody has any problem with either.

If you didn't have any idea what you were talking about you could just say as much instead of posting like an ignorant dimwit.
Your'e totally right. The government should take over the oil industry, the internet, the news, your ability to defend yourself, should revoke the 1st and 2nd amendments, confiscate most of your income, provide family planning, healthcare, education. Is there any aspect of your life you don't want perfect strangers in charge of?

What do you mean by "have a problem with"?

You denied that the ISPs will fuck with the internet given a chance, and he showed you that they already have done that and have given us zero reason to think that they will not again in the future.

They have publicly stated they want to. This is not a mystery. They want to get paid as many times as possible for the same thing. I pay for internet service, Netflix pays for the privilege of reaching me, and advertisers pay for the ISP's information on my viewing habits.

That's what they want. Getting paid again and again for the same thing.

You're incapable of addressing the actual arguments and have to make up stuff about what he's advocating, huh?

Are we talking about any of that shit in this Net Neutrality thread?

You should probably stop posting now.

Right, except it's getting cheaper for better service every year. Don't know how old you are, but the competition is for better service.

Great, so just to prove that you aren't an ideologue, please just tell me which of those things you disagree with. If you seriously think the gov't should take control of the internet, what the fuck do you think they shouldn't take control of?

Competition only matters in areas where there is more than one option. There can't be competitive pressure when there's Comcast or nothing.

Prices are rising for much of the US, that's a simple fact. Now they want to not only raise prices but also slow services that haven't properly bribed them. And most of the US can't switch to a competitor that isn't engaging in this rent-seeking behavior. They've been openly stating this. It's not secret.

Edit: and not sure why you're bringing age into this, but I'm old enough to remember how cheap DSL was when the FCC forced line owners to lease out the lines to anyone who wanted to offer service over them. That would sure be nice now.

Are we talking about ANY of that shit in this Net Neutrality thread? Am I supposed to just follow you down any stupid ass rabbit hole because you're to much of a mouthbreather to post on topic? You could have gracefully bowed out ages ago, but now you're just panic wrestling.

Got in over his head

And @nostradumbass, it's especially amusing that you seem to see it unsafe to trust the internet to "perfect strangers" in our elected government when the board members of these ISPs are perfect strangers to you as well. The only difference is that they have a vested interest in fucking my wallet in the ass while I can at least elect the government. Lmao, you're putting your faith in this fantasy that these companies give a shit about quality of service in their immensely lobbied and anticompetitive monopoly. We tried paying them off with the Telecommunications Act of 1996 and they shirked their duties then as well. But you wanna trust them lmfao.
