I am white, grew up extremely wealthy, and I find this phrase repulsive. A lot of people who work for my company who are good, honest, hard working people could possibly be referred to as "White Trash", and I find that phrase disgusting.

When referring to a child who is born to a single mother of a lower economic class as "white trash" it is the same as referring to an African American using the "N word" (another filthy and disgusting term).
