I don’t think people really process that he’s being sincere about going to Iowa and doing what he does because he genuinely wants to be a part of something bigger than himself.

Where do you guys think Steveson goes from here? Sounds like he has a lot of other options on his plate. I get a vibe from him that leads me to believe he may not even really finish out his college career. It's crazy how much separation there is between he and Parris and then Parris vs. everyone else.

I'd like to see him make it. I'd like to see Lee make it, too. I just don't know how much longer he's going to be able to go with no knees.

I hate to say it but I think Lee needs to take some time off to recover. He's really damaging his body by not getting his issues fixed.

Anecdotally, my personal style was much better suited to folk than free. I was a sub par neutral wrestler who was exceptional on top. So ultimately, I am always going pull for mat wrestling/wrestlers. But at the end of the day, I recognize that collegiate wrestling has a much greater emphasis on neutral wrestling and international wrestling has an even greater bias. So if a change benefits our possibilities to succeed on the world stage, I am going to be okay with it.

Damn, as much as it sucks it is the right move, as good as he is he's not getting through that field with a bum knee. His sacrifice for Iowa will probably land him the head coach position after Brands retires.
