My only point here was exactly what I wrote before: if his reach advantage is taken away, he becomes beatable like everyone else. There is a reason he toyed with Alvarez, and struggled with Nate, and that reason is reach. Great counterstrikers tend to build their KO game around that advantage. A.Silva for example, although Andy and Conor otherwise have had fairly different styles and fights. Who knows, Khabib may do to Conor what Sonnen did to Silva in their first fight.

At 155lbs ... Nate will be a bit weaker and easier to fight off in the clinch. Thats where the weight difference comes in. At 170lbs ... Nate cut to get to that weight. He was even heavier in the cage. Conor was below 170lbs in the cage and if i recall didnt even make 170lbs for the weight in.

Size matters.

Diaz might though have better speed and cardio at 155lbs. So a 3rd fight at 155lbs can be interesting.

Conor has put on a lot of muscle, Nate has very little muscle. The weight cut is probably easier for Nate than it is for Conor at this point.

Muscles are composed of more water than fat is, not the other way around. More muscle = more water.

Cutting weight is easier when you have more muscle as more of your body is made of water, and therefore more water can be taken out of your body.
