Nate has lost 3 of his last 5 fights - Beating McGoat? GTFO

Nate can try and take the fight to the ground and get a sub. If not, he's getting knocked out. Nate has boxing and very good BJJ with great submissions but his takedowns aren't going to be good enough. He's hardly a boxer but he knows how to use his reach and his hands. However, he's about to fight a far superior boxer and a harder hitter (puncher) in McGregor with far better footwork and a complete striking game. Nate supposedly has a 76" wingspan and McGregor's is supposedly 74". We'll see soon enough but that isn't a very large reach advantage and Nate isn't much of an athletic specimen.
Lol

Uh, Nate absolutely does not have the better hands. He's a brawler with limited technical ability and limited shot selection compared to Conor. Out of all of the high level amateur and some pro boxers I've heard talk about MMA fighters, only a handful have talked about who would be successful in the ring, and McGregor's name was always brought up. Whether it was Mickey Ward talking about it or an Olympic bronze medalist at Mayweather Boxing Club. Nate has been Andre Ward's sparring partner before but he knows neither one of the Diaz brothers would make it far in boxing because they're far from being pure boxers and neither is even a puncher (McGregor is a boxer-puncher). They're scrappers that punch with volume and use their range to overwhelm.

McGregor can fight on the inside and the outside very well, off the back foot, anywhere whether he's leading or countering and he can string together slick combinations that actually hurt his opponents to the head and body.

That's cute. :D

Nate is gonna get butchered. But I would laugh my ass off if he somehow pulls it off.

Bandwagoner!

Yeah, you rock that Nate AV after the fight.

So much fail

great thread,
read the first and second pages of this thread and the nuthuggers are not here anymore.
there are lot of funny things and people were claiming that Nate dosnt deserve to fight Conor and now they are looking for a rematch.

the nuthuggery was on another level

Epic thread.

And yeah, as I live in my mom's basement I don't have a job and it would take me years of saving my allowance to pay the mysterious man on the internet $500.

Keep on trolling. I think we can hit 15 pages.

Inb4 my feelings get hurt...

Tbh, why not put that $500 on Nate ? At one point he was a 4.5 to 1

That $500 would easily have been $2k by now.

IMO, makes more sense than betting at 1:1 odds with a random blue belt on the internet...

You still took the bet with him. You were asked if this was still a bet and you said yes.

That is a completely fair and respectable point of view.

A lot of other people talked about it like a coronation though.

In retrospect, guys like Khabib and RDA would have walked through McTapsTwice. He never looked so one dimensional and seemingly frozen when he punched his opponent and they didn't just fall over.

Back to FW

I don't think that was what rattled him instead i think it was falling short on punches while his opponent landed. As a reachy guy i know how much of an adjustment this is.
