If it was Diaz in a BMF fight it should be Poirier so they can fight for the "BMF Sloppy Seconds" belt. Diaz lost to Masvidal he didn't win.

Plus I think I saw that Makhachev has been booked vs Gaethje

I do think Nate Diaz vs Masvidal II is a possibility at UFC300, it would cost UFC a lot in fighters fees but both men have strong followings and it would be a big fight (agreed if a bit pointless), if properly promoted.

If Masvidal vs Nate happens.... I think UFC will say "winner gets to fight Conor later in 2024".

Nate can’t defend leg kicks and Gaethje is the best leg kicker in the division. Not competitive in the slightest.

How are we still talking about Nate headlining cards. Last time he was competitive in a fight he beat a washed up Tony and he landed 1 punch against Edwards. I'm so over watching him not check any leg kicks and get outclassed in all his fights. And if Gaetjie should headline 300 it should be against Max, thats it

Since UFC 300 is supposed to be huge it is currently missing the personality of a Brock,Conor,Rhonda or Nate so I say get them all on there.

Atleast with Chandler it's respectable guys. Diaz could host his own PPV whenever he wants, but he's been on a bad losing skid despite being a fan favorite.

He won his last UFC fight and had the current WW champion on skates in the 5th in the fight before it

Jorge vs Diaz did headline a card and they did headline a card with him and Khamzat(though it turned into Tony).

However as you said it wouldn't be big enough to have over legitimate title fights unless they put him against Gaethje for the BMF which even then id have it as co-main at best.

The BMF fight was when both Nate and Masvidal's stock was at an all time high. Much different scenario today.
