My post was to run my poker account deposit from $500.00 (USD) to $2,000.00 (USD) or more.
So I deposited $500.00 on April 13, 2013. I play four tables of 25NL (.25/.10) and any feedback is welcome.
If you wish to track it from the very beginning, I have quoted the initial post because it was at a max of 10,000 characters. It will be post #198 on page 20.
Update as of 7/5/13 @ 1641 PST. Balance: $2015.88.
I made it officially at the above date and time! The last hand was my KK vs QQ all in preflop and I held. What to do now? Get a massage, order pizza and move to 50NL? Not sure,
but damn it feels great.

Bonus cleared and I played about an hour, variance on my side and etc. I am less than $75 away from my 2k goal! DJ Kam bring some meat toppings, your side of the organic pizza is all veggie.

My $40 bonus did not clear, there are technical difficulties with it and the site admin sent out an e-mail notifying us that it will clear in 48 hrs. Just moved up some, overplayed AJo in a hand but I got my large sweet tea and it's time for hygiene ops (Shit Shower Shave) as I have work soon.
Update as of 6/30/13 @ 1253 PST. My bankroll is at 1818.32.
Finally broke the 1800 mark! I also have the 40 dollar bonus cleared and will hit my account tomorrow before the afternoon. I also wanna give a shout out to DJ Kam and Bad Beat Bobby. Get well soon BB Bobby.

I am long overdue for a downswing, yesterday I went down to 1640's and passed out. I played today and fought back up.

I did not play today as I was up almost 30 hours. I got home and just went to sleep, surprisingly I didn't fall asleep right away. In any case, the $40.00 bonus cleared.
Update as of 6/23/13 @ 2102 PST. My bankroll is at 1747.89.
After another session, I had some big hands, made one big bluff and had two coolers against me. I came up again. I am also waiting for the $40.00 bonus that clears tomorrow morning. Feelin' good, going into work in about 3 hrs.

I had a long session this morning and I went down quite a bit but after the dust settled I'm down about 2 buy-ins. I should have + $40.00 tomorrow in the morning regardless cause of the promo bonus.

Got off work this morning, got jamba juice (Strawberries Wild and Tomato Twist). Started off slow but I felt good. I have also cleared my $40 bonus for this week and it will be credited to my account Monday. Time to sleep and maybe play more.

Got down as low as 1350s or so but fought my way back. Tilt control and being emotionally disconnected to the money is key.

School and work with a combo of slacking stops me from updates. I will try to update as often as I can again. Between this update and the last, I went on a 12 buy-in downswing but I have worked back up. Stay tuned for more.

I know it's been a while since my last update, but no I have not done anything stupid to lose it all. Just a small downswing if anything and busy with work and school. I will try to keep up on the updates.
Some things to note:
-Bankroll management is paramount, and most people have no idea what it even is.
-When people at the micro stakes just bet a huge amount out of position, they usually aren't bluffing.
-People will call you down with top pair in a raised pot.
-For cash games, people usually recommend 40. If you play MTT/SNGs, you need around 50+.
-Big raises pre like 6x is a HUGE hand.
Final Thoughts:
Not understanding bankroll management is imo, the #1 reason people don't make anything out of poker then resort to calling it rigged/luck based/etc.
The reason I put the top one in bold is because without it, there is very little chance for success. Over the past few years I have had friends put up X amount of dollars and they might go on a little run, but it never lasts. Poker is about making good (+EV) decisions and building a bankroll overtime. I see far too many people deposit a couple hundred dollars and play 100NL and when they lose it, they call poker a game of luck.
In any given day, night, week, and even month you can run crazy hot. However, what does it mean when you cannot sustain it over the long run? If you are in it for fun, that's fine but to me, it offers an opportunity to supplement my account. So this is why I started this thread, I wanted everyone's thoughts, opinions, support, and even constructive criticism. Good luck and may all your hands hold up in the flips.
