Limelight My big stupid hype trains thread.

Magomed Akaev, Ibrahim Dauev and Dzhabir Dzhabrailov fighting on this one card starting soon

Just watched Shah Kamali get starched in the 3rd. By HW standards a decent fight, his opponent Frlic seems decent enough. Kamali has clearly been crushing cans though because Frlic was decent but not much more than that. 5-0, now though maybe he steals Shah's DWCS spot.

Tommy McMillen

Country - USA
Weight Class - Featherweight
Age : 27
Promotion - RUF
Team - MMA Lab
Record : 8-0

MMA Lab guy who seems to be getting groomed to be the next O'Malley. Can certainly see some similarities with the snap in the kicks and speed with the hands. Carries hands lower than Sean but seems to have the reflexes to do it. Crashes into the clinch a lot but it looks like he's pretty comfortable there and his BJJ looks good too. Hasn't really fought anyone yet but run through everyone he has fought. Has been hard to find his fights and get a grip on how good he actually is but I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't seem like anything was being covered for when I finally got to see him.

Fucking heavyweights man. Hokit better not let me down lol.

Can't believe Hwende got choked on that card too. He was absolutely battering Nikolic for three rounds before he fucked up but the result is all people are gonna see there unfortunately.

At least Bilal Hasan is still the king.

It was a good fight between Hwende and Nikolic

Lots of surprises in this card

Abelrkim Zouad

Country - Algeria
Weight Class - Welterweight
Age : 28
Promotion - BRAVE
Team - MMA Barcelona Team
Record : 7-1

Pretty impressed with this guy so far whenever I've seen him except for the fact that he got clipped early both times. Once he wakes up he's looked really good imo though. Very big and athletic for the weight, closes distance really quickly with flying knees and shit like that. Very good looking wrestling where he's ripping guys down. Good top control aside froma couple of positional mistakes but generally always forcing good positions, getting top control and dropping hard ground and pound. In his last fight he bullied and beat the fuck out of an undefeated Austrian based Dagi before darceing the fuck out of him.

Might be taking a slight risk with a hype train with the guy but fuck it, lets have an Algerian in here.

Laura Vasconcelos

Country - Brazil
Weight Class - Strawweight
Age : 24
Promotion - Jungle Fight
Team - Revira Black Team
Record : 5-0

Yet another really good looking Brazilian strawweight prospect. Already established as Jungle Fight champ this early in her career and already been the full five rounds and shown a bit of everything with decent striking and pretty solid wrestling. Didn't need any of that cardio against RIZIN vet Laura Fontoura though as she just absolutely blasted her out of there in the early going with a beautifully timed high kick. For sure looks like she could go places.

worth keeping an eye on at middleweight
Ahma Omarov (4-0 pro) (9-0 am) 23yr from germany via dagestan

even in france, spain, belgium, spain etc you can find a a bunch of elite fighters from the Caucasus...prob a good idea for a new thread (top Russian fighters fighting in Eastern Europe)

Umakhan Ibragimov who fought this past weekend at WOW 20 has been looking pretty good as he's been steamrolling folks left and right.

Country - South Africa
Weight Class - Flyweight
Age : 22
Promotion - EFC Africa
Team - A-Team Stars
Record : 6-0

Having just become EFC Africa champion at only 22 years old the future looks very exciting for this guy. He has a solid amateur background and is undefeated in his pro career so far at 6-0. Having smashed a lot of locals they brought a decentish Brazilian journeyman out there who he just blasted out of there with leg kicks and sharp and accurate punches inside a minute. I didn't get to see any of his grappling but he has a ground and pound finish on his record so hopefully it's not too bad. Seems a level headed and intelligent kid for his age too. Definitely a guy to keep an eye out for.

So there is that thread above where the dude called out aspinali hw run many many years before

pick a fighter you would that for at a different weight class. (you can pick 3 figures)
