My big stupid hype trains thread.

Luke Fernandez moves to 5-0, defending the CFFC LHW belt against Christian Edwards formerly of Bellator fame, not a bad win for the regional circuit.

What a fighter.

Odd you have her ranked and not Andrea Vazquez. Andrea is the current champ. and the best SW there.

Haven't caught her yet. I have the last LUX card on my catch up list which she was on though.

Busurman Zhumagul

Country - Kyrgyzstan
Weight Class - Welterrweight
Age : 20
Promotion - CFFC
Team - Webb Fitness & MMA
Record : 3-0

Really big 6'4 US based Kyrgyz fighter. Didn't really see much of him in his CFFC main card debut against Dean Sherry but what we did get to see was very promising. Looks like he uses his height really well with very nice looking front kicks which look snappy and hard. They caused Sherry to panic and try and wrestle to a double but Busurman was able to easily pull him up to an upper body clinch, switch that off to a Thai plum and then proceed to absolutely murder him with a knee.

I'd probably be wise to wait for him to get some stiffer competition before getting too excited, but the physical tools of this guy are quite tough to ignore.

Juan Pablo Vieira

Country - Brazil
Weight Class - Lightweight
Age : 21
Promotion - LFA
Team - Centro de Lutas Dyago Teles
Record : 9-0

I figured I'd already done a hype train for JPV but apparently I haven't so here we go because I really like the look of him. He reminds me a little of a young Charles Oliveira in the sense that he's a really good grappler who's slowly adding striking to the arsenal. Kind of a risk taking grappler but so is Charles, will give up position to go for an armbar or a choke but that's all part of the fun of watching him fight. Has some decent timing on his double legs so he's got ways to get things to the mat too.

Being 6'4 at 170 isn't advantageous, there's a reason why there's basically never been an elite WW above 6'2. Skeptical.

Milijan Zdravkovic

Country - Serbia
Weight Class - Bantamweight
Age : 25
Promotion - FNC
Team - Secutor MMA
Record : 9-0

Now left KSW after being a bit of a money train for bettors there against the more hyped Polish KSW prospects by basically knocking them all out. Now fighting for FNC in his native Serbia, presumably with the aim of fighting for another major promotion in the future.

Fought a tough guy in his debut who was coming off a win against Dom Wooding in PFL and managed to get him out of there with a combination of hard punches on the feet, really nice knees to the body in the clinch and after fending off the takedowns of the wrestler for a while he showed he was the better grappler too by taking his back and choking him out in round two.

Looks a very well rounded guy who's dangerous everywhere and should probably be back in a major promotion soon.

Guess ufc believe in him enough to put their new patch turn into Topps card program to start with him.

fighting this weekend

Gadzhimurad Gairbekov 6-0 at OFC 54 on 6/1
Sagyn Kazbek 6-0 at Naiza on 5/30
Muslim Danaev 7-0 at Brave CF 95 on 5/31
Bakhtovar Yunusov 10-0 at MCFC on 5/31
Islam geroev 6-0 at NFL on 5-31

Will probably be cut then, that's how they usually do it with guys like this who clearly had no intention of actually taking that fight and just wanted to get signed.
Looks like he did not drop out but failed a medical test (May 30, 2025) - Failed medical tests - Out of UFC 316 (Newark) - Khaos Williams

Hope nothing serious.

UFC just announced a New France card. I would absolutely love to see them sign Baki or Abubukar Yonousov (2 spinning elbow so's) previously mentioned in this thread.
