Kurtis Campbell

Country - England
Weight Class - Featherweight
Age : 22
Promotion - FCC
Team - MMA Academy Liverpool
Record : 7-0

Excellent UK grappling prospect. Wears bright shorts, exploding onto the scene at featherweight. Has kind of long hair and looks to sub and ground and pound guys and trains in Liverpool but I promise he's not Paddy Pimblett (he's not even at Next Gen).

Top control looks excellent, primarily the kind of guy to look to get to mount or back and do damage or look for a sub from there. Impressive fight IQ for someone so inexperienced in that he knows when a position isn't working and will bail on it to go back to back bodylock and rag his man down and start again. Some really impressive scrambles at this point in his career including somehow managing to take the back from bottom side control.

Currently FCC Champion but it's hard to see him sticking around there long term.
The Pink Panther. He is a bit unlucky that the Fighting Nerds have made the Nerd glasses popular before he joined the UFC
FCC is on UFC Fight Night. I discovered him there. Quite exciting, but it's a bit like Abdouraguimov, what if the opponent avoids getting close

Okay, saw a video of this fella earlier today and he's fucking bizarre - actually seems a little bit......retarded?! Like, not fully mentally capable??

All of a sudden he is all over my social media, just in the last couple of days. He looks super weird and juiced up.

@Hellowhosthat maybe I mentioned this to you before, but I’m currently studying for my Master’s at Lund University in Sweden.
In two weeks, I’ll be attending FCR 24 in Malmö. Fight Club Rush is Scandinavia’s leading MMA organization, so I’m sure you have heard of them. You’ve even pointed out some of their top prospects like Arlind Berisha (was hoping he’d be on this card, but I doubt it since he hasn’t been announced yet and also fought at their last event not too long ago) and of course Bernardo Sopai.

Are there any fighters I should keep an eye out for?

They haven’t posted a full card on FCR’s website yet, but if you scroll through their Instagram you’ll find most of the matchups (and it looks like they’re still announcing fights, including some amateur bouts).
I don’t know many of the fighters, so that’s why I’m asking. Anyway, here are the fights that seem most interesting to me:

Maybe Guram Kutateladze will be there too. He is from Lund after all and owns a gym here :)
FCR 24 will be broadcasted live on UFC Fight Pass, in case anyone is interested in watching the event.

Josh Hokit

Country - USA
Weight Class - Heavyweight
Age : 27
Promotion - LFA
Team - Jackson Wink
Record : 5-0

Hokit is a D1 wrestler who doesn't fuck about. He does have power on the feet and I've seen him take out cans with a jab but in general he knows what his bread and butter is and he's coming to take guys down and beat them up. Not the kind of guy to just hold people down so far he's throwing hard ground and pound and either knocking people out on the ground or opening up an opportunity to snatch a neck and squeeze it off.

Can't seem to find much in the way of regional guys willing to fight him I don't think so it seems a waste of time him not being in the UFC and they could use a wrestler who knows what he's good at but it also exciting.

Post fight interviews are interesting as this dude hates anything he sees as woke and seems a bit like a giant Bryce Mitchell, although I don't know if he thinks the Earth is flat or not. I'm willing to guess he probably does, although as a D1 guy that means he did go to college so maybe not.

This guy is definitely interesting and is on DWCS this summer.

Age : 29
Promotion - LFA
Team - California Mixed Martial Arts
Record : 5-0

No idea why this guy randomly appeared on the scene in his late 20's but he looks like an absolute monster and I have no idea where he came from. He's 6'6 which is obviously absurdly tall for a welterweight and unlike a lot of tall fighters he actually uses his height well, pinging really fucking hard and straight punches down the middle which are taking dudes out with ease.

Kicking game is excellent too, gets his high kick up really quickly and because he's so tall he has the option of turning it into a knee instead of a kick which dudes don't see coming and is super dangerous. Unlike other stupidly tall guys like Anuar Aburto, he doesn't seem to have the tall man defence and actually looks defensively responsible. I haven't really seen anyone push his wrestling yet but how easy can it be to take a dude this tall down?

Five fights, five first round KOs, all very entertaining and brutal. Given that he's 29 we might as well fast track him and see how he hangs at the top level straight away.

Gonna try and catch up on a few I meant to do before over the next week or so

Lany Silva

Country - Brazil
Weight Class - Strawweight
Age : 22
Promotion - LFA
Team - Team Lucas Mineiro
Record : 7-1

Fast improving striker who turned things around from suffering her first defeat to becoming LFA champion in around a 13 month period. Striking is for sure her forte as she's fast, flashy, dextrous with kicks and generally very entertaining. Her loss came when she was stifled by a grindy grappler in what was still a very close fight but DWCS vet tried the same thing with her in her LFA title fight and it didn't work nearly as well. Took the title with a spectacular 5th round head kick KO which should absolutely have her on the radar.

@Hellowhosthat

Verdict on Pavel Dailidko at HW? 10-2 now, just TKO'd your ranked Odie Delaney in the 2nd round in BRAVE.

He has an alright record, last loss in 2022 to Gaziev, but he looks a bit........juicy?

Yeah, he'll take Odie's ranking I think but not worthy of a post imo Trains with Aspinall, PDF and Parkin but I thought he got taken down a bit easily in the first round. In his 30s too so not sure how much potential I'm seeing really.

Tbf other than Kirtadze who I don't think is that good I'm not really familiar with any of them, but I'll for sure check it out afterwards if any of them catch your eye.
I’ll let you know, bro.
I looked into some of the names already, and there are a few guys I’m curious to see compete, like Jon Furuheim from Norway for example. He’s 8-1 in MMA and only 22 YO

David Mgoyan

Country - Armenia/Russia
Weight Class - Featherweight
Age : 20
Promotion - Tuff-n-Uff
Team - American Top Team
Record : 7-0

This dude is developing fast. The first time I saw him I wasn't that convinced by him striking but thought he was a decent grappler, then when he fought a good regional test in John De Jesus I was really impressed with his striking as well as his grappling as he absolutely dominated a guy that usually gives prospects a decent test. Followed that up with an utter destruction of Ramos who's a bit of a jobber but is tough and usually hangs around for way longer than Mgoyan let him.

Base is definitely wrestling and ground and pound. Super strong from back bodylock where he'll pick people up and repeatedly dump them if he needs to while dropping brutal GNP whenever he gets the chance. Striking is good kicks mixed with good hands and easier for him to land with the ever present threat of him starting to wrestle.

Trains regularly with Arman Tsarukyan so obviously getting high level rounds in and I'd imagine he's going to be on Contender Series this year even if there's no real rush at his age.

Oldest looking 20yr old I've ever seen!

Oldest looking 20yr old I've ever seen!

You haven't seen many 20 year olds then. He just has a beard and chest hair, doesn't look old. Definitely looks closer to 20 than 30 unless you're insane.

I see 22 year olds with their thinning hair blown forward to cover their receding hairlines and deeper lines around their eyes than people a decade+ older. Saw a Mongolian kid, thought he was going to be like 45+ and he was in his 20s the other day.

2 good prospects in the last Hexagone card: Baris Adiguzel, a BW that hits hard (especially body strikes) at 1:25, Bafode Gassama, a LHW who is 2-0 after switching from the IMMAF scene, a few years after leaving football at 4:50
