FW and BW are so damned packed with killers even outside the big promotions.

I didn't think he looked that good in this one tbh, looked good before though.

He might have had one before but you don't qualify if you're in the UFC or Bellator
I don't disagree per say, but it's probably not a bad thing that he faced some adversity. At least in the big picture. He was completely dominant in all of his fights before this one so to see him have problems but stay composed enough to not fall apart and still get the finish is at the very least a silver lining.

This week is absolutely stupid.

Country - Russia
Weight Class - Featherweight
Age : 27
Promotion - Fight Nights Global
Record : 7-0

This guy is a sanda style fighter with a good output and a great variety of offence. In his fight against Khairulin he was throwing hook kicks, spinning heel kicks to the body and head, back fists, all sorts. He also has nice quick tight boxing to go with it and is able to get multiple shot combos off quickly. Decent wrestling too, although I would say the entries are better than the actual takedowns.

I'd like to have maybe seen him go for the finish a bit more, but a really pretty style and one that's great for racking up points. A little bit like a Featherweight Muslim Salikhov.

So... Is it safe to say that Renfro is the 20-something Phil Hawes of the 30-something crowd?

Mo Miller

Country - USA
Weight Class - Bantamweight
Age : 29
Promotion - Fury FC
Record : 7-1

I'm officially hopping back on the Mo train. After his screw up against Jose Johnson in front of Dana he really needed this one to get back on track. Get back on track he did with some nice long striking followed by the trademark double leg and ground and pound for the finish. Poor Evers Andersen didn't stand a chance. Hopefully he sticks at what he's good at and quickly gets back among his true level of competition.

Adam Soldaev

Country - Poland
Weight Class - Featherweight
Age : 24
Promotion - KSW
Record : 6-1

Nice, dynamic and powerful striker who seems a nightmare on the feet. Really made previously unbeaten Pascal Hintzen look pretty low level as he was completely unable to deal with the accuracy and power of his shots. Good use of elbows on the fence when Hintzen tried to pin him up against it helped him open up space for his striking. A flying knee hurt his opponent and a well timed counter as his opponent tried to come in faceplanted him.

Vitaly Slipenko

Country - Ukraine
Weight Class - Welterweight
Age : 27
Promotion - ACA
Record : 14-4

Back on form with an excellent performance after his disappointing loss to Ustarmagomed. Took a UFC veteran in Stefan Sekulic and made him look absolutely leagues below him with dynamic and quick striking, covering distance quickly to get his strikes in without anything coming the other way being really close to him. Upped the ante as the fight continued and finished with a great spinning back fist to put the cap on an outstanding performance.

Bibert Tumenov

Country - Russia
Weight Class - Featherweight
Age : 24
Promotion - ACA
Record : 11-2

Time for Bibert to finally get his hype train as he continues to look amazing when not fighting Omarov or Khizriev (arguably the best two FW prospects in the world). Put Diego Brandao to the sword as he continues to showcase some of the best boxing in the sport, mixing things up well throughout the fight before finishing with a beautiful shot to the liver.

Country - Russia
Weight Class - Welterweight
Age : 26
Promotion - Fight Nights Global
Record : 3-0

He's pretty early in his career but this dude looks damn impressive. I really liked the way he was timing knees up the middle every time his opponent tried to shoot, very difficult to get in on this guy. Looks to do damage and trip constantly in the clinch too so it's difficult to get any respite against him there. Eventually his opponent did manage to get him down but when he did he just got immediately triangle and finished. Beat Alexander Chernov in easy fashion in only his 3rd fight, who's a guy who's given some ACA roster staples decent workouts.

Reiner De Ridder

Country - Netherlands
Weight Class - Middleweight
Age : 31
Promotion - ONE
Record : 15-0

A performance that really put De Ridder over the top as he took WW champ Kiamran Abbasov and made him look absolutely nowhere near his level. Every takedown seemed to work for him and his top grappling is some of the best in the sport, controlling position well and gradually advancing towards a finish in a methodical fashion that almost brings to mind the top control of someone like Demian Maia. I'm not really sure what there is left for him in ONE, he's talked about going up to HW but those are some big dudes, ideally he can come over and test himself in the UFC.

Fabricio De Andrade

Now he's a fully focused MMA fighter, Wonderboy just looks more and more outstanding every time I see him. Terrific kickboxer with good power and unreal handspeed. Also able to throw in combinations that pick the opponent apart and target weak spots in the defence. Very hard to stop once he gets on the front foot.

If you are interested, I saw news from social media group about Chechen fighters that unbeaten Askhabov bro was officially signed with UFC. Also they wrote that Dakaev is in talks. About sanctions and stuff, I think Dakaev lives in France and holds citizenship and Askhabov brothers holds some European citizenship (dynno if they talked about it, but I've seen them listed as French, Luxembourgian).

Also, I think I mentioned it in another thread, that older brother of Azhiev brothers are some kind of Islamist and regarding this, in Russian Wiki there is pages about all three of them and terror bro listed as a brother of fighters bros.

Askhabov bros have Luxembourg citizenship AFAIK. I don't think a visa should be too much of an issue.

Might be for Azhiev if that's true though, shame for them.

BTW I noticed Shara Bullet is training in Brazil and won the Arena Global LHW title at the weekend (although I haven't been able to find the fight yet), wonder what he's doing there?

I guess he trains at GOR MMA gym in Russia, at the same gym as brother of Johnny Walker (Valter something, was scheduled to fight at the same event). If you didn't know, Walker's brother is married to a Russian girl and lives there.
So, maybe Brazil promotion decided to make Brazil vs. Russia event and someone there knew Valter and invited some fighters from GOR gym. I think the same stuff happened years ago here https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/events/30409-xfc-international-9
Regarding Askhabov, I think everything is good with visa and if I am not mistaken I even seen info/rumor about him fighting this month.

That makes sense, I noticed Johnny Walker commenting on a few of his Instagram posts.

I just pray Shara stays away from John Kavanagh lol.
