Limelight My big stupid hype trains thread.

This weekend we've got.

Budo Sento on Friday (Fight Pass)

HW - #10 Jesus Navarrete (25/Mexico/7-0) against massive Alejandro Solórzano (9-3)

Titan on Friday (Fight Pass)

The Tap card on this is wrong but I know that

BW - Ryan Kuse (27/USA/5-0) is fighting Anvar Boynazarov (33/Uzbekistan/2-0) who beat Chikadze in GLORY

also from what I can make out from Twitter they've got Richie Lewis, Talita Alencar and Roybert Echeverria fighting, though it's not really clear who they're against.

WBW - #7 Evelyn Martins (19/Brazil/2-0) fights former team USA wrestler Jackie Cataline (debut)
WBW - Former IMMAF Champ Julia Dorny (32/Germany/2-0) fights Jeslen Mishelle (debut)
WBW - Another former IMMAF Champ Michelle Montague (28/New Zealand/0-0) fights Olivia Parker (4-2)

EFC Africa on Saturday

BW - Dricus protégé Cameron Saaiman (21/South Africa/3-0) fights Roevan De Beer (4-4)

I wonder how much longer Russian promotions are gonna be holding shows. It's fine for now, but eventually money is gonna be running tight in Russia if the current sanctions stand.

Solomon renfro should be out of your top 25 no offense he got exposed the past 2 fights and he already got choked out by malott who isn’t that good. Put Yusaku kinoshita in the top 10 he’s legit asf and yes his last fight was Matt hamil jones esque joe <Goldie11>

Otan Tanzilov

Country - Georgia
Weight Class - Bantamweight
Age : 23
Promotion - GFC
Record : 5-0

I checked out this GFC card because it had Amiran Gogoladze smashing some can as the main event, but I thought I might as well check out some of the other fights.

Anyway, I thought this dude seems to be moving pretty well, confidently closing the distance on his opponent. Then I thought he's doing a good job of showing the left and then throwing the right and switching stances and using his kicks well. Then he hits the dude with an uppercut and nearly finishes him, then he lets him back up and knocks him down again with a spinning back kick to the body, then he follows that up by knocking him out with a fucking flying switch kick in my favourite KO of the year which left the other dude disorientated for a good 5 minutes.

I need to see him against better comp as he does have some sketchy looking ammy losses, but a flying switch kick is a good recipe for getting hype from me.

Cool seeing Jean Matsumoto at the top of your rankings for 125. He’s a very young and exciting prospect. He’s 22 years old btw. He recently signed with the management agency that managers Jessica Andrade so I could see him fighting stateside soon.

Another young Brazilian fighter I would recommend following is Lucas “Fenômeno” Rocha. He’s 21 years old and is already 13-1. He’s a big reckless, but his fights are always exciting to watch and he will improve with more experience.

I clocked his record recently just haven't checked his recent fight out yet, will try to.

Btw do you have any idea where I might be able to catch the last Arena Global show? Also can't find that Fight music show from earlier this year anywhere.

Such a good fight.

I haven’t seen the Arena Global show. I did watch some of the Fight Music Show live while it was streaming as it was on YouTube and I know the single fights are uploaded on YouTube so if you are just looking for the MMA portion of the card, you should be able to find them. Let me know if you are looking for any specific fights from the Fight Music Show and I can help you find them.

@Hellowhosthat What made you rank Charles Johnson so low? He's not a prospect at this point per se considering his age, but I think he's got potential to be a top 10-15 FLYW who has a bunch of very fun fights

Hence why HW is such a crap shoot. Honestly shameful performance.

Happy that all the wrestlers won today.

Kyle Driscoll won in the main event. Damon Wilson won by TKO and, Blake Cooper got the sub to start off the card.

Over in Titan, Ryan Kuse wrecked another can (not his fault since Titan is small but maybe a bit his fault because he stays there), Lazaro Dayron won his fight and Yoanse Mejias got a first round finish.

Askhabov bros have Luxembourg citizenship AFAIK. I don't think a visa should be too much of an issue.

Might be for Azhiev if that's true though, shame for them.

BTW I noticed Shara Bullet is training in Brazil and won the Arena Global LHW title at the weekend (although I haven't been able to find the fight yet), wonder what he's doing there?
I have no idea if relatives of Islamists are affected by visa issues. I was under impression that terror bro Azhiev left his family like 20 years ago and his brothers live in Poland for years while he is in Syria. Also I don't know if his gang/group is on the American list of terrorists (but I think I've seen that it's a chapter of AQ).

Yeah TS should completely remove Navarette from the rankings for a few fights......that's fucking poor.

TS - Solorzano no good?

I was hoping to see Romero Vs Luciano, Silva Vs Franca, Sousa Vs Gordillo and Marques Vs Machado.

Awesome if you can find them.

Any idea where I might catch the Matsumoto fight?

Mainly age, I also think he's better in 5 round fights in 3 round fights as he turns up the pace later on, but it's very hard to get 5 round fights as a flyweight in the UFC. But yeah, he's good but I don't think he'll get much better than he is now.

Yeah, he's out next week lol. It was at altitude but absolutely dogshit. HW is by far the hardest division to pick prospects in, they all look good killing cans and it's hard to tell what will happen when they come up against some mild resistance.

In Kuse's defence he had a couple of oppenents pull out on him. I think he's got a shot of making the contenders this year.

Nah, he's already in his mid 30s and he got pretty smashed by Popov.
