Limelight My big stupid hype trains thread.

Rodrigues got the short-notice call-up to face Dusko in two weeks. Fight could go either way since Todorovic likes to keep his hands down and does not have the movement to sustain such a style.

Have to watch tape, but Rodrigues is a live dog imo.

Ill eat my words, he is stepping up in a fairly winnable fight. Good for him.

Bisping's commentary during Gregory Rodrigues vs Jordan Williams was possibly the hardest I've ever laughed during a fight. "Abort! Abort!"

Even with his recent KO loss, I still think Todorovic has a massive ceiling.

needs to stop relying on head movement to avoid strikes, though.

What is your opinion on Samsonidse?

About AAA and next title fight in ACA, accordng to Reznikov, this month ACA offered him fight against AAA at event in November. It's the last fight on his contract and he hoped to fight in coming months, like June-September and be a free agent or that's how I understand it (ACA offered new contract, 8 000/8 000 $ but he turned it down and seems like he took offense, that they will pay him 8 000 $ for a title fight if he lose, while AAA will be paid around 50 000 $), plus under his current contract (5 000/5 000 $) if he wins his contract will be extended for 3 or 4 fights so he says that he is not interested and asked ACA to give him a fight before November.

I haven't seen Samsonidse but that's an impressive record. I'll have to check out his upcoming fight.

$8k for Reznikov is a pretty poor offer considering he just beat a very hyped guy in Raisov.
Was doing a little research on Samsonidse and saw that this just happened:

Good weekend it was btw. Bryce Meredith won his debut. Kenan Jackson to 2-0. Archie Colgan to 2-0. Tyler Ray to 8-2. Thomas Petersen sadly got his fight cancelled but hopefully he's back soon, I was bummed about that one. Davion Franklin to 3-0. Danny Sabatello, FWIW, to 11-1. And Austin Vanderford rounding it out improving to 11-0.

Not much this upcoming weekend but CFFC has dual events so those always have a lot of interesting prospects.

Are we sure this dude is 28 and not 38? He looks like jacked up version of Barack Obama.

lol I did a double take on the age, but then this is a world where Grant Neal is 25.

Neal seems an excellent 205lb prospect, surprised he walked through Fortune so quickly.
Fortune is not very good tbh but thats not Neal's fault. He does seem to improve with every fight, though. I want to see him take a step up in competition already. Jonathan Wilson or Marcelo Golm would good. Biyong or Polizzi might be a bit too much at this point but wouldnt mind, either.

When the fuck is Biyong debuting!!!

Updated rankings.

Since last time #8 BW Mana Martinez signed for the UFC, I'd also promoted Gregory Rodrigues to #7 but then he signed for the UFC before I put the list out, so he's off again.

This week we have a UFC and Bellatorless week.

FEN on Friday

- Jonas Magard (28/Denmark/BW/12-4) defends the belt against Bellator vet Frans Mlambo

- Ekaterina Shakalova (23/Ukraine/BW/5-1) fights Jamilia Sandora (Brazil/BW/5-0)

- Lukasz Charzewski (Poland/LW/10-1) takes on experienced vet Damien Lapilus (17-13-2)

ACA on Friday

Aren Akopyan (27/Russia/FLW/11-2-1) fights 13-2 Brazilian Charles Henrique

Igor Zhirkov (28/Kazakhstan/BW/12-3) fights Rodrigo Praia (29/Brazil/BW/15-5)

Leonardo Limberger (26/Brazil/FW/14-2) fights Alexander Peduson

Will finish this off tomorrow.

I think Tommy Petersen is the future of the division.

Silveira and Maximov have good futures, I hope, if not in the UFC then definitely in Bellator.

He might be a LHW long term imo, he's a bit fat.

In his last fight he looked good once he got past guard but struggled to get past it a bit. I was much more impressed with Hugo Cunha recently.
