Limelight My big stupid hype trains thread.

I remember having a bet on him in his contender series fight and he managed to lose despite having top position for large portions of the fight. Looked awful there to be honest.

Tbh I remember thinking he won that at the time.

You looking forward to Saeid Mirzaei's fight tomorrow? Now that he's more active, I think he's got a legit shot at making it far. Certainly looks as good as any welterweight out of Canada for quite some time.

In action this week we've got

PFL tomorrow

HW - #12 Renan Ferreira (32/Brazil/8-2) Vs Jamelle Jones (12-7)
HW - #14 Adam Keresh (26/Israel/6-0) Vs UFC vet Klidson Aberu (15-5)

Battlefield tomorrow

WW - Saied Mirzai (29/Iran/3-0) challenging experienced Dejan Kajic (13-7-2) for the title.
BW - Serhiy Sidey (25/Canada/6-1) defends his belt against Austin Russell (26/Canada/3-0)
FW - Nic Oullet (?/Canada/2-0) fights Mateo Vogel (?/Canada/5-2)

Pancrase on Friday

WW - #20 Yusaku Kinoshita (21/Japan/4-1) fights Akihiro Murayama (22-11-9)

UWC on Friday

LW - Leonardo Blasco (26/Venezuela/16-4) fights just bleed Marco Elpidio (12-5-2)
FW - Aaron Canarte (25/Ecuador/8-0) fights Walter Reyes (23/Nicaragua/6-1)
BW - Juan Diaz (24/Argentina/7-1-1) fights Andres Ayala (13-8)

ROAD on Saturday

FW - #22 Hae Jin Park (29/South Korea/9-1) rematches former ONE champ Soo Chul Kim (16-6-1) @EndlessCritic
FLW - Jung Hyun Lee (?/South Korea/6-0) fights Seigo Yamamoto (4-8-1)

MW - Mzwandile Hlongwa (?/South Africa/6-1) fights In Jae La (10-1-1)

Yeah, three good fights on that one. I might also check out the Gio Platon fight because I've watched all his pro fights even though there's been diminishing returns.

I did see Hae Jin Park vs Soo Chul Kim 2. Why is that happening? Both guys should be in Bellator/UFC/PFL/ONE.

My old friend Adam Defreitas was supposed to fight at BFL but sadly his opponent pulled out.

What happened to Jung Young Lee? I remember he beat Park in a matter of seconds and then just disappeared.

Just a couple of updated stats

I've done trains for 163 fighters now believe it or not.

Of those the UFC have signed 16 fighters in Darian Weeks, Jailton Almeida, Ian Garry, Paddy Pimblett, Muhammad Mokaev, Benoit Saint-Denis, Piera Rodriguez, Michael Morales, Daniel Zellhuber, Mana Martinez, Gregory Rodrigues, Terrence McKinney, Tatsuro Taira, Daniel Da Silva, David Onama and Evan Elder who have a combined UFC record of 14-9.

Bellator aren't interested and haven't signed any of them.

Countries wise they're from

What is the difference between a hype train and being ranked?

What is the difference between a hype train and being ranked?

Hype train is just someone I've done an actual post for. Ranked is just people that I consider a top 25 prospect but either wasn't quite impressed with enough to want to big them up that much or they were on the initial list but haven't had a wow performance since (like Parnasse, who's always been ranked high, but his fights since haven't been amazing performances).

Noted, so having a hype train is better than being ranked, right?

It seems odd to me that the UFC has signed 16 of your prospects and Bellator has signed zero.

I bet someone in the UFC has this thread bookmarked.

Quite a few hypey boyz in the Contenders this year too with it looking like Rebecki, Knutsson, Bleda, Waldo, Carpenter, Neves, Silva, Penaz and Dumas are going to be on too.

Where are you seeing the contender series matchups I haven’t seen anything on tapology

Keresh just laid an egg. Not just the fact he lost either, he just kind of looked silly trying his weird unorthodox striking with little success. I had higher hopes for him then getting 30-27ed by Klidson fucking Abreau.
