Limelight My big stupid hype trains thread.

Mairon looked good last night, always nice to see a new guy with KO power get in. Is he going to drop down to BW or stay at FW? Asking because I know he got mauled by Argueta in LFA but I forgot at which weight class that happened.

Think he should stay at FW tbh, BW seems like a very tough task for a striker to break into the ranks atm. At least FW has some aging dudes that like to strike still ranked.
He missed on TUF and he cheated to make weight for this, I think he’s staying at FW. Also he was 19 when he thought Argueta, he has grown since the

Argueta fight was at 135.

My mistake. His named Jora instead of Zhora in others websites this is why I struggled to find his record on sherdog.
I appreciate your concern

Can't wait for Jora debut in Bellator, the 7 september, I predict a total domination.

Yeah, I've got him on my long list. He's pretty smooth from what I've seen grappling wise.

He's pretty fast twitch standing as well. For his age and athletic ability...dudes a lot better than a lot of guys on your list I gotta say.

Did you see Louis Lee Scott vs Aboubakar Younousov or that Yryskeldi Duysheev is fighting in ROAD FC next? Bantamweight just has nonstop insane prospects, it's crazy how few of the actually good ones end up on the contender series though.

I did. LLS had a fight pass profile so I think they actually wanted to put him on contenders but Ares have been much less nice about releasing people since the Trabelsi thing.

Bantam and welter are the hardest lists to get on tbh, lots of guys waiting outside the majors.

Dunno if you saw but Shaykhaev also has a fight booked for CFFC.

I saw the Shaykhaev fight, yup. Bilal Hasan has another fight scheduled too as does Bojkovic. Still upset they let Khavolov go to PFL, once PFL and Bellator combine that roster is going to be really strong. I'd like if they just went in on a 125lb division.

Hopefully Samandar actually gets signed. And I can't believe Cezary still hasn't been.

I think they just think if they have too many Russians people won't watch so they'll let PFL take the risk and at the moment whatever roster PFL have people still don't watch it

PFL/Bellator keeps signing really good talent that's not Russian too though like Manoel Sousa, Jora Ayvazyan, Colgan, Meredith, Baki, Darragh Kelly etc etc. Even Ali Taleb was a flex. UFC is very bad at getting talent.

I suspect Aaron Pico beats Pitbull, which means he's going to be matched up with Khizriev most likely and then Khasan Magomedsharipov will eventually be in the wings. I kinda look forward to seeing Pico vs the Russians. I also would sign Mokaev and Severino immediately if I was them and open up a 125lb division.

Yeah they've got a good roster but the shows are still nigh on impossible to watch live for even someone as hardcore as me so I don't have much faith in them doing much with it.

There were interview this month with Khavalov - still no American visa so he probably will fight at places like Saudi Arabia. And I suspect he has this visa problems for few years.

Not that it matters, but he has his name as Zhora in his IG and ACA promoted him for YE events as Zhora.

Does PFL go to Saudi? Are Russians having a tough time fighting even in Europe? I assumed with a PFL contract he had his visa, never been to AKA?

Skeptical that's the reason. Check out Murtazali Magomedov though, not to be slept on as a 145 prospect.

Just caught up with his last fight, have to say I'm not sure. The dude with the middling record was giving him a really tough time for a lot of that one.

I'll do the hype post when I can be added but Peruvian prospect Jeremy De La Mata hit just about the coolest suplex I've ever seen yesterday.

September rankings (there's a couple of hype posts I'll try to do at some point this week if I can be bothered.
